India Q1 GDP Data Live Updates: PM Modi says doomsayers were doomed and India bloomed; GDP grows at robust 7.8% defies US-Iran war impact

Indian government fudged the numbers..

Wow, I said this is a dangerous signal. The foolish kids are still happy about it. The apparent increase in foreign exchange is actually India borrowing from overseas Indians at high interest, and you interpret the debt as reserves. This 138 billion US dollars will need to be repaid starting next year. From this it can be seen that India's foreign exchange reserves are mostly such foreign currency debts, just like a penniless man who uses multiple credit cards to get cash. This fully shows how bad the financial situation is. Relying on usury to run the national economy, selling state-owned enterprises, restricting gold and overseas travel, high-interest borrowing—let's see what Modi can still come up with: Ask China for help? Ask the US for help? Ask the IMF for help?

India spends nearly half of their tax revenue repaying debt. I find it funny because if you borrow so much money you expect to see huge differences in infrastructure yet you get nothing at all. India truly is land of magic.

India spends roughly 40% to 45% of its collected central tax revenues on interest payments and servicing existing debt. [1]

Understanding the Debt Servicing Cost
    • The Proportion: For every 100 rupees collected in taxes by the central government, a large portion—historically around 40 to 45 rupees—goes strictly toward paying interest on past borrowings rather than new public projects. [1]
    • Impact on Budget: This large commitment limits the funds available for day-to-day government operations, welfare schemes, and infrastructure. [1]
    • Current Trajectory: India's overall debt-to-GDP ratio is projected around 55%, and the government is working on fiscal consolidation paths to lower borrowing pressures and free up more revenue for capital expenditure. [1]

If you want, I can share:
  • The breakdown of India's latest union budget allocations
  • How India's debt-to-GDP compares to other major economies
Let me know how you would like to proceed.

India's debt to gdp has been stable except of COVID spike. It's lower than Chinese Govt debt 130% (including LGFV).
India's credit rating is also improved meanwhile.

Wrong. You owe US dollars, not a rupee that keeps losing value every day. Your GDP figures are all fabricated—even the experts within your own government don't buy them. Your so-called credit rating comes from a failed country, and your exchange rate and GDP have sunk to where Japan was 40 years ago.

Let me repeat: India's golden decade is over, and things will only get tougher. Hindus like you will grow more anxious and anguished each day, dulling your senses with Modi's propaganda that even you can't believe. I hope Modi gets wise and surrenders to China or America—but either way, neither country will accept any more Indian immigrants.

Wrong, above chart was domestic rupee debt. You wrote 200 words full of rubbish.
India's dollar denominated debt is just 11% of GDP.

Idiot . What I meant is that India's sovereign debt is in US dollars—just like the $138 billion in overseas deposits Modi just enticed with high interest rates. All of that has to be repaid in dollars, not in your worthless rupees that lose value by the day.

So? Did you invent some secret theory?
Every investor knows rupee depreciates, yet they have invested. That's normal for developing economy who is trying to stay export competitive.
