Being the 7th largest country by size and the most populous country in the world, why would you expect India to NOT have somewhere near the longest road network in the world?

USA : economic power , military power , soft power and political/diplomatic power
China : economic power and military power
India : limited economic power and limited military power


China is a potential superpower

1 -- China is unable to project its military power globally. While the USA maintains over 750 military bases worldwide and 11 nuclear powered Aircraft Carrier strike groups that control the global oceans, China's only official military base outside its borders is in Djibouti, Africa


2 -- The USA is surrounded by an entrenched network of alliances comprising the world's wealthiest and most militarily advanced nations such as NATO, the G7, the EU, Japan, Australia and South Korea.


3 -- also , American Dollar rules the overwhelming majority of global trade and central bank reserves , not Yuan or Rupi

And China never will project its forces globally. China is interested in East Asia and South East Asia aka own backyard that directly affects China.

China survived 5000 years and USA may not even survive 300 years. Why should China copy USA tactics ?
