India - US Tariff and Relations | News + Updates

They depend on the dollar A LOT more than the rest of the world. I challenge the entire India. If you REALLY have balls, tell Trump we will join BRICS currency and NO trade until Tariffs are reduced.

ONE executive order and there will be a massive recession in India within 60-90 days!
That is a pretty idiotic dare. A BRICS currency would basically be the RMB . What will India possibly gain from promoting the RMB ?

Take the dare or do a "Pai Lagon Trump G". Only two options.

If 2nd is what's going to happen, then stop acting all macho, jingo and senti (using slangs how you guys use in India :) ).

How can I respond to that except by saying that you are a moron.

I'll just wait until "PAI LAGON TRUMP G" is done and a thread will be opened on that when it happens.

When someone resorts to insults and name calling, it means their brain waves have been jammed by the my post, just like Rafale's avionics by PAF!

To be honest, I find it amusing when some Pakistani members criticize India for maintaining a neutral stance in global geopolitics.

The truth is, it's actually a tricky situation for Pakistan. They need more strategic space and often hope that India might align itself fully with the U.S. camp. That way, a clearer bloc could emerge—China, Russia, Iran, and Pakistan—which they believe would be beneficial for Pakistan's security and future influence.

But they don't understand the reality: while India has tensions with China, it has maintained a strong and historic relationship with Russia for decades. India isn’t going to abandon that relationship for anyone—not even for the U.S.

Western countries, especially the U.S., have long wanted India in their camp. But India won’t go fully in, nor will it go against Russia. At the same time, Russia wouldn’t want India to completely shift into the Western or U.S. bloc either.

So, the best strategy for India is to remain neutral—engaging with both sides, without becoming a part of any exclusive alliance.

Does the U.S. want India to join the Russian camp? No.

Does Russia want India to join the U.S. camp? Again, no.

So the conclusion? Trump might be upset… but India will just keep humming its own tune.

Bro, shouldn’t you actually appreciate India’s approach?

India is walking a tightrope, balancing between the West’s pressure and its own strategic interests — and that’s no easy task, especially when the U.S. and NATO are pushing hard for India to fully align with them.

Ask yourself: how many countries today openly say they’ll keep strong ties with Russia? Very few. India is one of the last major country doing it — and doing it without collapsing under pressure and surrendering its autonomy.

In a world of black-and-white alliances, India’s gray-zone diplomacy is bold — and deserves recognition.

I have to agree with you here , good points

Look I said something nice when I agree

People should think what consequences Pakistan may face on India's stance

There is a lot of push and pull and friction created as the world is reordering itself..... Everything seems a little bit connected at least

Well, it seems some Pakistanis have made Trump their abbajaan because he made some social media posts to rile India. They have forgotten the same guy had said Pakistan gave the US nothing but lies and deceit and was harboring terrorists. They are expecting that the same guy who robbed Pakistan of billions it was legitimately owed in CSF is now going to shower money on Pakistan.

Did you read the article

"Economists do not expect the 25% tariffs to significantly hurt the South Asian nation, for now. India’s economy is relatively closed and driven by “domestic demand as the mainstay of growth,” said Aastha Gudwani, India economist with Barclays. She estimated the 25% tariffs could slow India’s gross domestic product growth by around 0.3 percentage point."
Because bank economists get what right exactly? Lol...
Obviously investor confidence and credit markets must be reassured

Then get ready for 25%+penalty. If Trump decide to go to war with India (trade war I mean) then Modi will surrender in no time. But andhbakhts will claim victory while India stop buying Russian oil.
They have already surrendered.........Indian purchasers not buying Russian oil.......

And yet here we are annoying Trump to no end and dragging out the negotiations longer than anyone else.

If we were that helpless, we’d be handing over minerals, oil, and trade access on day one…
I thought the oil was fictional, so Pakistan got a deal on fictional terms....

I can't see how dragging out negotiations is something to brag about

The USA will not support Indian growth, if the USA does not get something significant return

Let's see how long India lasts for, we forget trump has only been in power half a year 😀

Ideally Pakistan and India should be thinking along the lines of self-preservation

No.. wrong information

India continuing to buy oil from Russia: Report rebuts Donald Trump's 'good steps' claim; decision guided by national interest and global energy stability

You guys are a young nation, still babes in the wood when it comes to power projection, your post is just a projection of yourself

Say what you want but iron sharpen iron... Pakistan has been through it for decades

And the polity seems to be savvy enough to know about the swings and roundabouts in global alignments
