Indian prime minister Narendra Modi will not visit Russia to attend the Victory Day celebrations next week, a Kremlin spokesperson said on Wednesday, as tension soared between New Delhi and Islamabad.

"The leader of India will not come, India will not be represented at the highest level," Dmitry Peskov said, without citing reasons.

India's foreign ministry earlier in April confirmed that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had invited Mr Modi to be part of the celebrations to mark Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany on 9 May. The ministry said an announcement regarding India's participation will be made in "due course".

Stop your indirect political posts. Pakistan has fought several wars in the past and none of them needed any politicians to chant any slogans. I too believed until the last week that he should be released in this situation, but then I went though his Social Media posts and he does not care one bit about the situation or the border situation and is all about his complaints about the elections and Form 47 bla bla bla since last 1 week as if nothing else is happening. It shows that even if he is let out. He will just start his own dramas and distract the military from the current situation. Its better to let our military focus than fight internally with him instead. It has always been out military command who have taken and initiated war decisions and they well know how to take care of things.

Every other day on SM one stumbles upon those "fresh-out-of-the-oven" PMLN and Army troll accounts. Lately, there’s been a trendy little prelude they all love: “I was pro-PTI but…” Honestly, it’s become so tediously predictable it’s practically a template now. Do yourselves a favour, drop the performative disillusionment. You’re allowed to argue your point without first draping yourself in faux political martyrdom.


Now, about releasing Imran Khan, let’s not pretend anyone’s confused. The man’s in jail because the generals want him in jail. The charges? Thin as air. And yet, they squandered what could’ve been a golden opportunity to de-escalate political tensions and salvage their own crumbling reputation. Their call, sure. But let’s not be naïve... choices come with consequences, and these ones will echo.


As for India’s war-mongering.... every day that passes makes an actual strike seem less likely. They’ve already tossed the Indus Waters Treaty into the shredder, whipped up hysteria, and cleverly shifted focus away from the real conversation. And while we’re busy with chest-thumping and press statements, the enemy watches...and schemes. Because unlike us, they know exactly what they’re doing.

I have far, far, far more to write about which lot has been the A Kiss*** for their own benefits form 2014 - 2022, but in respect of this forum I'm trying not to say anything. All I can say is that we regular Pakistanis hold our institutions to their utmost professional respect in the real professional levels where its due and do not pander to them by declaring the chiefs 'Father of Nation' , which was a term coined by someone who actually really pandered to them between 2018-22 and was unheard of in Pakistan's history. That's what Pandering means. So stop lecturing others about who panders to whom.

I have been loving the actual technical discussions here but you people keep interfering with your political narratives. Now this will be my last reply to you on this particular issue and I will not respond to any further counter replies to you or to anyone else in your lot. Most Pakistanis do not care anymore. If you want keep replying to me I'm gonna ignore this topic altogether and focus on the actual topic of this thread only.

With every passing hour/day the chance for a major war is diminishing, but this r@ndi rona will continue for sometime, and in few months/years something similar happen again and we will be back to this point.

India will carry out some form of strike, it may be limited it may be symbolic. But the threat is there. This is why we had not one but two press conferences/briefings in less than 24 hours.

I know and I agree, limited strike is possible but for a major conflict I am starting to believe it won't happen, I mean yes there are some major war machinery that has been moved like Tanks/Arty from both side, but give Indians already lost the element of surprise, Pakistan has already taken defensive positions so any major escalation will cost twice the causalities for invading forces, and as layman in Military strategy even I know if you want any meaningful results you need to minimize your loss but maximize enemy's losses.
Missiles strikes is a possibilities but the return will be proportioned, the next action by India will determined whether the war will escalate or just die down like in 2019.

Yes but with every instance I think the Indian public is waking up more and more to the fact that there are political purposes behind these events. And this has been a blessing for our country where we have seen unity after a very very long time. Its been a welcome change for us.

I think India is realising that it needs to deal/talk with Pakistan, nonetheless. However, it knows the Army is the puppet master. Either it will be pro-democracy now or come to terms with GHQ like the US etc.

Don't rely on India public, even their liberal voices bad mouth Pakistan and blame us for every ill, just follow some of the youtubers or non Godi media and you will see that even they have extreme venom against Pakistan, I will see or even consider any change in India if they get rid of Hindutva lunatics from Govt, even that will be only half of the problem because you can change Govt but what about People? Journalists ? Youtubers/social media influencers ? Actors ? Sports people ? India is gutter full of people who hate Pakistani's down to their guts and wants to see us either get killed or die.
