Tldr: Pakistan will be used to delay or avoid China confrontation

At this current moment even before this tragic event , the USA is forcing the world to choose between China or USA, going in that direction

India was suggesting it might open up to china a bit, it might therefore suggest that if India needs serious commitment on china it needs something on Pakistan first

It may attempt to sweeten china a bit by suggesting some solidarity on the tariff war front....after all the trade volume acts as a barrier to serious conflict

It's all aimed at Pakistan, bring heat there to take heat off india.... maybe

If Indians do decide to attack, they will try to make it high profile instead of some so called seminary or launch pads in the forrest.
The question is are they ready to face the onslaught by Pakistan as PAF will not hold back this time. The escalation ladder may just get breached !

CIA's huge budget is not just to eat apple pies!
Anything is possible in the rapidly changing geopolitical environment since Trump came to power. He wants to get things done in a rush, as is obvious to everyone both inside and outside of America.

Not singling you out sir, I have read many conments on tea etc. Just saying being overly confident when you are always the underdog ...meme focus didn't lead to anything.

I think it is actually difficult for them. For the retaliation to have any meaning they will need to attack targets near LOC. That means they have a limited area of operations, so for us AWACS and CAP coverage will be easy to do (maybe 2 Erieyes up in the air 24/7 along with 4 X F-16s and 4 x J-10s up in the air 24/7)

Issue is our retaliation can be anywhere along the border, and IAF simplky does not have enough AWACS coverage or high end fighters to cover entire border, so any PAFG retaliation will be easier for us.

Secondly I am pretty sure SCALP and Meteor have not been delivered to IAF and if so not in any meaningful numbers.

All of the above leads me to think surface to surface missile strikes may be their best option. The IAF will be very aware of the risk of losing more fighter jets
 
Well, Gaurav is saying that all the hard work done by the Modi govt since 2019 is washed away by yesterday's attack. So, unless there is some extra-regional geopolitical angle to it, I'd find it hard to accept this is an Indian False Flag. We need to be objective about everything.

Agreed. We are a small country relative to India so we should set the precedent of hitting disproportionately hard in response to any Indian misadventure.
We were quite lenient to the Indians in 2019.

Despite all their bluster and bravado, India is in no state to fight a war or initiate one.
India has brought this episode upon itself.
Kill Pakistanis in Baluchistan by signalling out their ethnicity again & again & you end up with Pahlagam.

Babus in Delhi can climb up the pole as long as they can spin & manage their embarrassment afterwards.
