You know stopping water supplies to a heavily armed population with its battled hardened military would be not only cruel but a mutual suicide. Please, don't bring up such nonsense because that kind of rhetoric only fuels the fears in Pakistan about the Indian designs over the water passing through Kashmir and going into Pakistan.

But maybe deep down, there are significant elements in the Indian establishment who do believe in using water as weapon against Pakistan. I recall officials in Indian govt threatening to use water as weapon against Pakistan some 6-10 years ago. How stupid and cruel. You know that no country has bled Pakistan more than Afghanistan since 1979 but Pakistanis never talk about using water going into Afghanistan as a weapon or choking off food supplies to Afghanistan, which is a landlocked country.

Don't be like the Western countries who wage 'total wars'. It is not in the DNA of the eastern people.
