Not to mention hundreds of thousands of Angry Tribal Lashkers, although not a supporter of Tribal system or lashkers but against India they will mobilize, Passing through the few areas of KPK on my visit to Naran/Kaghan I realized that how hard it was to fight a counter terrorism war in the region, even Americans despite all that Air power never dared to get into valley's where they can be ambushed, imagine Indian much poor trained Army, and with little to no Air superiority over Pakistan's air space entering the AJK/parts of KPK, they won't even understand what hit's them.

If you are invading you need a ratio of 1:3 anyway, with your poorly trained Army and without achieving full Air superiority over Pakistan Air space, your advancing forces will be ambushed within every few KM, not to mention the Tribal people who knows the area better than your army, can do so many hit and runs that you will lose many men there and eventually will have to back off, are you willing to lose that many soldiers after achieving nothing? War drums are easy to beat but achieving lasting peace is much harder.

Americans won't react nicely to get their sons & daughters in body bags, connecting this to the incident that I think this could play a larger role to divert some attention from Middle east, Indians love/support to BLA, and some major bold attacks from BLA in past several months have really pissed some people in Pakistan, and once major crack down started against the likes of BLA supporters this incident happen, and now for couple of months/ or year in case of a skirmish we will be focusing on Eastern border, we also made some breakthrough with Afghans to stop TTP, the timing seems to be very odd, it hard to see all that in isolation.

I think, under some 'war power act', gloves will be truly off in Pakistan against not only political dissent but against anyone who'd remotely resist the State of Pakistan. But, hey, I won't be too disappointed if canals, dams get built and BLA and TTP crushed. Screw the 'Missing Persons' or the wailing about why the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) shouldn't get privatized.
