No Indian Dam can impact the total waterflow to Pakistan in a meaningful way, at least as of now. India can slightly regulate the timing of the water at best, not stop it entirely. Any dam can 'stop' water, but every dam has a reservoir limit. India has the capacity to stop maximum 12% of the water as of now, which is already within the legally allowed 20% allocated to India under IWT.

So its business as usual, India is just taking the regular operation of the dam and rebranding it as 'stopping water' of Pakistan as a new Information war tool. Also, Kashmir's topography is not such that you can divert any of the major rivers.

When India DOES add into its ability to stop more than 20% of the water via any new Dams/Reservoirs (which will take years, if not more than a decade) then we can and then we should take action.

Thank god that we have worked very hard to make long range anti ship missiles but we still need more work. We need anti ship missiles for 2000 or 1500km range. It could be land based or air launched. We also need to upgrade our military. New artillery, new tanks, new guns etc. we must ask Chinese to provide all these stuff and should use better guns with night vision etc.

There is also need for long range standoff weapons. We need something with much bigger range. It will be a nightmare for india and similarly we need a missile that operates at the same level as beahmos.

What options india has today?

1)Blockade of karachi which they think is still possible and bla providing path to Indian army to infiltrate through gwadar etc.

2) stand-off weapons to target multiple infrastructure in pakistan.

3) attack on pakistan after pakistani retaliation, using all branches of armed forces etc.

4) osama bin laden type assault. Watch out for helicopters.

5) waiting for Israel and america to start Iran war so that afghans can attack from other side and Indians will attack from eastern border etc. pakistan needs to monitor Iran situation closely.

What pakistan can do?

1) destroying critical infrastructure near border during retaliation making india paralyzed.

2) targeting temples in india after they target madrassa, mosque.

3) using missiles to attack Indian na vy. Ask china to covertly join war. Chinese submarines attack Indian navy from behind.

4) Chinese boots on Pakistani land if pakistan sense all out war. Using diplomacy to persuade china to open another front near Indian border and send Chinese air force and military to help pakistan. Same for turkey as well if they are willing to help.

5) attack on siachen glacier. Right time to take back what is ours.

6) preemptive strikes even before Indian attack. Iaf needs to be neutralized in order to have an upper hand over Indian military as Paf can target Indian brigades trying to enter pakistan.

7) destroy all s-400s.

They are not happy with how slow their military mobilizes but in future, they will eradicate all weakness. We must always think about all out war scenario and prepare accordingly. This is why modernization of army is necessary. Time to study Indian armed forces in detail and make predications and probabilities. We need some kind of guarantee from china that it will intervene because china will be choked if Pakistan is gone. I have a family just like others but country is everything. If war starts, i will help voluntarily. But if limited war for some days then needs to think about full fledged war and prepare accordingly because all out war is not far away.
