Indian Missiles and Guided Munitions

V3 range is around 10 km. Also they will be launched by Drones so range is not an issue
Never said it was an issue, the problem is cost not range
Any way if it can take out high value targets its worth the money..
Any system that can be taken out by ULPGM can be taken out by Drones as well, but at a much much lower cost.
You can't just say F*ck you to Defence Economics because that's how you get a boutique army not one ready for sustained conflict.

Cheap dirty Drones will never win a war on their own
They quite literally are in Ukraine, Cheap dirty drones have essentially frozen the frontlines in the Ukraine war, the 1st 5 km of the front lines have become dead man's zone thanks to these "cheap dirty drones"

Smart nations have cheap modified anti Drone systems like akashteer
That's not what Akash teer does, 🤦 it's a integrated air defence battle management system

Smart nations have hyper expensive long range deadly missile for big capital targets like Brahmos or scalp or lora etc
Smart nations have indigenous missiles and munitions to fight sustained conflict not screwdrivered boutique missiles that would be exhausted in just 2 days,
after which the said smart nation will be begging like a crack addict to their foreign suppliers to provide them with armaments even at over inflated prices because the said smart nation is actually a moron who hasn't learnt his lesson from a previous similar incident in 1999 and doesn't know how Defence Economics works and its boutique army is not ready for sustained conflict.

What if the $2000 drone gets downed by a $2/jamming, equipment. Or bullets that's not even worth $100.
1. Jamming doesn't cost $2 it costs a lot more
2. The said $2000 drone is jam proof because of fiber optic cables
3. You do realise that the UL in ULPGM means UAV launched right, righttt.
If Jamming can down ULPGM equivalent Drones will it also not jam the UAV launching the ULPGM
4. Bullets can not down 10 $2000 drones at the same time, and at least 1 will get through achieving the objective (at it would still be cheaper than a boutique $50000 missile

Taking about 50 K price tag. If all /major components are indigenous and self fabricated then it's simply govt money passing from one hand to another.

K5 missile on the horizon? Pop out test successful that means actual test is very near....

On 16 March 2023 it was learned from a PIB Announcement that IAF had requested a Long Range Stand off Weapon LRSOW that can be specifically launched from Su 30MKI and that DRDO has started working on it.

A year later it was learned from DRDO chief Samir V Kamat's interview that LRSOW referes to Rudram 4 and will add to DRDO's range of Ground Attack Missiles

And Recently a 24 April 2026 tender from DRDO RCI sheds more light on DRDO LRSOW (specifically it's launcher)
LRSOW launcher

Weight : 400 kg
Length : 5700±50 mm

For Reference Brahmos ALCM launcher

We can infer some details from combining all this info
1. LRSOW is the project name for what will ultimately become Rudram 4

2. It will borrow a lot of technologies and Warhead from Pralay Missile

3. Given the fact that the launcher of LRSOW will be heavier than that of Brahmos ALCM and measures only slightly short at 5700mm vs 6000mm we can make a few conjectures such as
it being heavier than Brahmos ALCM (i.e over 2500 kg)
and will be similar in length at 8~8.5m and limited to only Su 30 MKI just like Brahmos ALCM

4. In Interviews with both India TV and NDTV DRDO Chief Samir V Kamat implied that Rudram 4 (LRSOW) will be longer ranged than its predecessor Rudram 3 as such combining that info with point 3 we can safely assume that LRSOW will have a Range of nearly ~1000km.

5. And given the fact that such a long range under these weight (~2500 kg) constraints is not be possible for single Stage ALBMs, it only makes sense that LRSOW will be a multi stage missile like its predecessor Rudram 3

6. If a missile is going to be hit something at such a long range (~1000 km) it only makes sense for it to have a huge payload to maximize it's chances of scoring a mission kill and combined with what I said in point 2, I think LRSOW will have a 300-400 kg class warhead borrowed from Pralay

Overall Specs
Range ~ 1000 km
Weight ~ 2500 kg
Length ~ 8-8.5 m
Warhead ~ 300 - 400 kg Class
Propulsion ~ Multi Stage Rocket Motor
Role - Ground Attack
This thing, you can't say it's advanced. A 300-500KM air-to-ground missile with some supersonic capability can only be said to be somewhat threatening.

It is no more or no less advanced than this thing

Judging from your estimated data, it feels similar to the YJ-12 missile. China once developed the JH-7B equipped with the YJ-12.

If that is the case, it should be considered a relatively serious threat.
YJ 12 is a ramjet powered supersonic ALCM, the closest Indian analogue is Brahmos-A ALCM.

LRSOW Rudram 4 is closer to KD 21 than YJ 12

If that's trueIt's more like some strange missiles that the Indians bought from the Israelis.
Before the air battle on May 7 last year, I had argued with the Indians. They thought the LORA missile was their sure-fire weapon.
It can easily cut through the China-Pakistan highway corridor.

I believe this poses a significant threat that Pakistan should take seriously. India will undoubtedly learn from the lessons of 2019 and 2025, and will no longer risk deploying fighter jets to compete with Pakistan for air superiority. Instead, it will invest in these expensive, stand-off missiles for strikes.
Pakistan must enhance the resilience of its airports against attacks. It should prepare as much quick-drying cement and prefabricated steel plates as possible.

I remember the Taiwan Air Force once required that an airport must be restored to operational capability within 2.5-4h after suffering a full-scale attack.
