Original one , their is no replacement required, only replenishment of interceptors (40N6).

5 more regiments are approved.

Thank you for letting Pakistanis know when it left although they tracked the shipment already and also how many pieces were involved and when it will get there, who will receive it and what their facebook and instagram profiles are so they can be provided some motivational happy time before the go to the docks that morning.

India ordered five regiments of s400 in 2019 all five were supposed to delivered by 2023
Ukraine war meant only three got delivered by 2025 when Sindoor started
These new deliveries are the delayed regiments already paid for three years late

The indians ard very happy with s400 so happy they are ordering five more regiments for five billion dollars once again.
Must have really impacted last year
This is a complete area denile system.
During Sindoor India had just 3 regiments by 2030 that will 10 regiments if the new deal is signed
Add the project Kusha systems built in India very similar systems you will have the most densely layered air defense system in the world ..

India Buys Over $1B Worth of Russian R-37M Long-Range Missiles for Su-30MKI Fighters

India has signed a contract worth over $1 billion to purchase a large batch of Russian R-37M long-range missiles.

According to the South China Morning Post, the deal covers about 300 missiles valued at roughly $1.2 billion, with deliveries expected to begin within 12–18 months.

The missiles will be used on India’s Su-30MKI fighter jets, which, along with French Rafale aircraft, form the core of the country’s air force.


The agreement comes amid reports that India may cancel a planned purchase of 114 Rafale jets. The issue reportedly stems from France’s refusal to provide access to key electronic systems, which India wants in order to integrate its domestically developed Astra Mk1 missiles. These missiles have already been tested on the Su-30MKI.

If the Rafale deal is canceled, it could also lead to fewer future purchases of French-made missile systems.

Earlier, the Indian government approved a large-scale procurement package of weapons and military equipment worth about $25 billion. The country is accelerating the modernization of its armed forces following the conflict with Pakistan and amid ongoing tensions with China.

The package covers all branches of the military. In particular, the Indian Air Force is expected to receive additional Russian S-400 surface-to-air missile systems, medium transport aircraft, and strike unmanned aerial vehicles.


It also includes the overhaul and modernization of engines for Su-30MKI fighter jets.

R-37M

The R-37M is a long-range air-to-air missile, considered, based on open-source data, one of the longest-range systems in its class.

  • Flight speed: up to Mach 6
  • Maximum target speed: up to 2,500 km/h
  • Length: 4.2 m
  • Body diameter: 0.38 m
  • Launch weight: about 600 kg
  • Warhead weight: 60 kg
The missile uses a combined guidance system: inertial navigation with radio correction during the midcourse phase, and an active radar seeker in the terminal phase.

Throughput depends on orders and demand. It can't be stable at all times. I think it's obvious production slows down after some time when demand declines. Although given growth in revenue and a lot of export contracts, this report is BS.

In a major leap for India’s maritime strike capability amid the continuing West Asia crisis that has left global shipping under growing strategic stress, India has test-fired an indigenous long-range anti-ship hypersonic missile from a defence facility off the Odisha coast, defence officials said on Sunday.

Developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the 1,500+ km range anti-ship hypersonic missile (LR-AShM) commenced its Phase-II flight trial during a test conducted from Launch Complex-IV of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at the APJ Abdul Kalam Island.

"After the missile successfully lifted off from a hermetically sealed container, leaving behind a thick layer of smoke, the stage separation was perfect. The missile was tracked by various range systems deployed in multiple domains. The flight data collected during the trial on Friday are being analysed. A couple of more tests will be conducted before the weapon is inducted into the armed forces," a defence official told Business Standard.

Hypersonic isn’t new anymore but flying low, switching to horizontal flight in secs and maneuvering the whole way at that speed that’s what makes it hard to deal with. Add 1500+ km range and mobile launch and it’s a serious problem for any modern ADS. This missile is one of the most tactically practical hypersonic designs. This may be closer to a boosted hypersonic cruise like system.

It’s primarily for anti-ship duties and will be under the Indian Navy’s jurisdiction to counter Aegis like systems.

Flying low and hypersonic don't go together.
That’s true for older designs. Not everything climbs high and coasts anymore. Some boost, level out fast and stay low while maneuvering at hypersonic speeds. Low + fast + maneuvering is exactly what makes it extremely hard to track.
