Indian Politics and Internal News

I hope your post stays here forever - it is a perfect demonstration of rote learning!

I am going to use it as an example when I am explaining the difference between rote learning and critical thinking.

Please do. It will take you some time, but you will get it ...... eventually.

@KimExit

But that is the point, BD doesnt have a poor road density.

I think Modi’s direct payments to the rural poor has lifted millions out of poverty.

And may mean India is now ahead in absolute poverty.

But the underclass is a lot broader.

Also, direct payment is a bludgeon.

It’s like a father having two sons. Both are underclass but one is entirely reliant on handout and the other is self sufficient.

How sustainable is it?

And are both really equal?

Child mortality sort of gives the game away!

India problem is poo poo. Its not just cow and other animals that are allowed to poo anywhere in cities for religious reasons, but humans usually belonging to low castes also poo on streets in big cities.

Thats why they dont care about hygiene in general. Its not money problem.

Brahmins on PDF are only telling lies and nothing else. That new zealandar who married Indian have zero reason to lie.

Poverty alleviation is not primarily about identify the problem, but building the capacity to address it, in an even manner.

If we help farmers increase productivity, we have a ready market in China and the GCC to absorb our exports. The money farmers earn can be invested into known industrial ventures that will boost exports, and Pakistan can keep recycling that money, year after year on social spending and increasing productivity to slowly but steadily lower poverty, the way China did.
Agriculture is a highly risky business with very low margins, you can't make that the backbone of your economic growth. Industrialization with the goal to export that output is how Chinese were able to grow and take hundreds of millions out of poverty. It is the only viable model to follow...This is exactly what Vietnam is currently doing and what other SE Asian nations did to industrialize...

Agriculture only makes the mega landowners and big Argo businesses owners rich.

For everyone else it is a hand to mouth existence.

@SaadH @BananaRepublic

Agriculture shouldn't account for anything more than 10% of GDP and workforce even in developing countries-for developed countries it has to be much lower. Anything more than that is a recipe for poverty.

All the three countries have to take people out of agri into manufacturing and (higher grades of) services- and none of them have prepared the general populace for it.

There are no direct payments to poor except subsidies for farmers, pension of the elderly and scholarships for students.

There is free health insurance for up to 5 lakh and free food grains of 5 kg a month which keeps inflation down.

Unless you are confusing "Direct Benefit Transfer" as direct payment.

Infant mortality rate for India in 2023 was 26.619 deaths per 1000 live births.

Infant mortality rate for bangladesh in 2023 was 28.8 deaths per 1000 live births.

Do the math.

I will try to explain this one more time to you. Maybe @SoulSpokesman and @Joe Shearer will have better luck explaining something as simple as this.

Roads per capita and density is useless.

Access is key - something that can be easily gleaned from satellite imagery.

Just see what percentage of Indians are only accessible via dirt roads and what percentage live within few miles of a highway.

Then compare that to Bangladesh.

I can assure you 80% of Bangladeshis live within 10 miles of a highway.

I can also assure you the number for India will be significantly lower.
He is irrelevant. Forget it.

If you don't know anything about a society, try not to comment.

What does low-caste - caste in any way - have to do with sanitation?

indians were smart they invested in human development and industry while khaki boys and their gang of theives were taking loans and build motorways just so they can make good commission!

and now india is the third biggest economy and Pakistan is a fking joke!
