Indian Politics and Internal News

If you need a job in India upon relocation after having lived out west for a while, then there are issues with your life choices/ judgement more than anything else……..😝

Any mofo who’s worked in the US a decade or more should have saved at least a mill or more, considering most participants here come from decent highly educated family backgrounds

So, INMO unless you have made poor choices in life……..there’s no need to find work as a middle aged retiree in India.

Term deposits averaging upto 7% annually. Who da hell would want to work unless like I said, yous a dummy.

When statistical adjustments are used to convert the backward digit span results to full-scale IQ scores, Indian Americans place at about 112 on a bell-shaped IQ distribution, with white Americans at 100. 112 is the 79th percentile of the white distribution. For more context, consider that Ashkenazi Jews are a famously intelligent ethnic group, and their mean IQ is somewhere around 110.

There is nothing inevitable about immigration. Who immigrates each year is a policy decision, free to be modified at any time by Congress. Constructing new legislation is always difficult, but I propose a simple starting point for immigration selection: Anyone who can spell guerdon is in!

A helicopter crash near Ganganani in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi district, India, killed five people and seriously injured two on Thursday. The incident, close to the Indo-China border, prompted a swift rescue response and an official investigation into its cause.

On May 8, 2025, a helicopter carrying six tourists and a pilot crashed in a mountainous area near Ganganani, Uttarkashi, close to the Indo-China border, killing five and injuring two, officials confirmed to PTI, as reported by The Times of India.

Emergency teams, including the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and district administration, are conducting operations at the site, per ANI. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, expressing condolences on X, announced a probe and assisted the injured.

The crash occurs amid heightened India-Pakistan tensions following India’s May 6 airstrikes, though no link has been confirmed, per Reuters. Uttarakhand’s challenging terrain, near the Indo-China border, has seen prior aviation incidents, with a 2023 crash killing six, per The Hindu. Dhami’s proactive response, including SDRF deployment, underscores efforts to manage the crisis, but public anxiety persists.

I know this is an old post but it reminded me what my Indian friends told me what goes on in upper class Indian schools.

You would be surprised.

Same thing happens in Pakistan.

Any NRI returning to India would be in the upper echelons of society and their kids would be going to these schools and growing up in this culture.
Indian and Western schools are two different poles, I find them completely different in moral values we find in West as compared to Indian schools 🕳️

I don't know what to tell you.

I also used to believe this when I was a little kid, before I found out what goes on in upper middle class society in India, Pakistan, etc.

For someone who has no direct connection except through my gf and her roommate your right. Shes from Pakistan (vvv wealthy family) her friends/roommate are both (indian upper-middle-class) the indians are more wild than the pakistani stories tbh. Based on my observation pakistan "liberalization" is a few years behind india. Maybe even longer cause Pakistan has no public clubs, bars, parties, and co-ed places tbh

I haven't lived in Pakistan for decades but, even back then, there were plenty of private parties in the rich neighborhoods, especially for the teenage crowd.

This dudes some Indian molvi wes talkin to here.....lol

Reminds me of this woman in Australia whose son got arrested for drug smuggling and she was completely surprised that her son could do such a thing.

Sonny has no job, no source of income, yet drives around in a new car, gives expensive gifts, and parents ask no questions?

Bhai, news of our community's harkatain overseas I rather not share here.......

Sub ka mood kharab ho jaey ga!

Completely unacceptable begherat/ khabees behavior........you have no idea!

In India, its increasingly khullam khulla masti, for people up and down the socio economic ladder.

In Pak, and I've heard as much from people who are friends and neighbors with Pakistanis abroad.. that the more upwardly mobile rich type crowd do these wild parties at their farmhouses etc because nightclubs, bars, pubs ka public scene aren't a thing there.

Kinda same in Iran too, this rich kid underground party stuff, I am told @Lulldapull

Among my desi friends circle in college -- Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Nepalese, Sri Lankans, we had them all -- the guy who drank like a fish was a fellow Pakistani. We called him maulana because he had a stylish goatee.
