i have seen many backpackers use those cheapo hostels for staying nights in these countries in the region. Those are not expensive at all.

Why does this guy not want a proper bed? Does he have any self-respect?
Now the whole world seen him make a fool of himself and his nationality by how he behaved

400 baht is basically peanuts, you would struggle to find a decent hotel room for that much even in Pakistan.
