Athletic Indonesia now has a training center in Pangalengan, West Java. Located on an area of 10 hectares, this National Athletic Training Center is expected to score many achievements.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the All-Indonesia Athletics Union (PB PASI) Luhut Pandjaitan, on the sidelines of the inauguration. In his social media accounts, Luhut explained the beginning of the training center was built.

"Since receiving the mandate as Chairman of PASI on January 25, 2021, I have had the ambition of athletics sports to have its own training center. Today, the moment I was waiting for was finally arrived. Although the pandemic had hindered many of our plans, Praise God finally the Pangalengan Athletic Training Center could be inaugurated together," he wrote.

"Standing on a 10-acated high-altitude stretch of high altitude with a height of 1,500 mdpl cool and green, the Pangalengan Athletic Training Center not only offers beautiful scenery, but also the perfect environment to maximize the physical training of athletes."

The 77-year-old Athletic Chairman revealed that the athletic training center in Pangalengan has international standard facilities. The facility accommodates 90 athletes and coaches, making this training center as one of the best in Southeast Asia.

As for the National Stadium Complex not only consists of a training field but also prepared a dormitory that is in one complex. "This is a symbol of our commitment in fostering and printing world-class athletic talent," he said.

Indonesia Athletic Athletes actually have a training ground at the Madya GBK Stadium. However, established in conjunction with SUGBK to welcome the 1962 and 2018 Asian Games is now no longer purely for athletics.

The stadium was also used for football activities and other events such as music concerts. Therefore, the presence of athletic training centers in Pangalengan provides new hope for Indonesian athletics to be able to train freely without sharing with other activities.
