Why is the mainstream media not reporting such a big event which happened today?

This month, a total of 43 terrorists — 18 in KP and 25 in Balochistan — were killed by security forces during extensive operations conducted in the provinces since Dec 9, causing a “major setback” to the TTP and other terrorist groups operating in Balochistan.

13 terrorists killed in South Waziristan intelligence-based operation: ISPR

Dawn.com
December 25, 2024

Thirteen terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.

After the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) broke a fragile ceasefire agreement with the government in 2022, the country witnessed a sharp uptick in the number of attacks targeting security forces and other law enforcement agencies, particularly in Balochistan and KP.

According to the interior ministry, in the past 10 months, 948 out of 1,566 terrorism incidents reported occurred in KP, resulting in 583 deaths (out of a total of 924 martyrdom).

The recent operation came after 16 soldiers were martyred on Saturday when terrorists attacked a checkpost in Makeen in South Waziristan, while eight terrorists were also killed as the armed forces responded.

Earlier this month, the interior ministry revealed that 341 terrorists were killed in 2,801 IBOs across 10 months from January 2024.

It added that 800 individuals were placed on the Fourth Schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act as part of “vigilant monitoring of individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activities” with 400 from Punjab, 203 from KP, 173 from Balochistan, 21 from Sindh and three from Gilgit-Baltistan.

‼️From January 1 to May 7, 2024, #Pakistan Security Forces conducted 𝟏𝟑,𝟏𝟑𝟓 counterterrorism operations, resulting in the elimination of 𝟐𝟒𝟎 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 and the 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝟑𝟗𝟔, including 𝟏𝟗 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬.

▪️Sadly, these operations have also led to the loss of 2 officers and 60 soldiers.

▪️Security Forces are carrying out over 100 counterinsurgency operations each day.
Seems like USA is still sending a lot of money to Afghanistan. That's why Afghani currency is that stable. Now the thing is, USA sending money to Talibs, and Pakistan striking deep into Afghanistan. Then Pakistan preparing to conduct intercontinental ballistic Missiles and USA and Europe are imposing sanctions on Pakistan. Then in Pakistan some people in the disguise of PTI workers spreading propaganda against Pak army and talking about the separation of kpk from Pakistan.
I am smelling much is going on here. I will advice Pakistan if kpk separates from Pakistan let them go. They are our brothers and they have right to exist however they opt. Just destroy Israels every faculty before or just after that so that Israelis can't do much against their enemies after that. By doing so, Pakistan will end the era of Western dominance on the world.

• Army officer martyred in North Waziristan operation
• Two TTP militants killed in South Waziristan strike
• 140 families displaced during clearance operation in Upper South Waziristan

PESHAWAR / SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Fifteen terrorists were killed and a Pakistan Army officer embraced martyrdom during multiple encounters between security forces and militants across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said three security operations were carried out in the province.

An intelligence-based operation (IBO) was also conducted in the Jani Khel area of Bannu district after reports of militant activity. Security forces engaged the militants’ position, killing two in the ensuing crossfire, the ISPR said.

In the second operation, which took place in North Waziristan, five militants were neutralised by security forces while eight were injured.

“However, during an intense exchange of fire, Major Muhammad Awais (age: 31 years, resident of District Narowal), a brave officer who was leading his troops from the front, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat,” the ISPR said.

Sources said that this IBO was conducted in North Waziristan’s Datta Khel tehsil at around 1pm after observing suspicious movements.

A search party was dispatched at around 1:15pm, and it came under fire as it approached the target area. Five militants were killed, and eight were injured in the exchange of fire, reportedly involving members of the banned Hafiz Gul Bahadur group.

In the third operation in South Waziristan, six militants were killed and eight were injured after being engaged by security forces, the ISPR said.

“Sanitisation operations are being carried out to eliminate any other kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” it said.

Separately, a strike by security forces in South Waziristan’s Birmal tehsil on Wednesday night left dead two terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

Local police sources said that the attack, likened to a drone strike, targeted a house in the Manra area, killing local militant commander Noor Muhammad and an associate, who had taken refuge there.

The militants were reportedly involved in attacks on security forces, police and civilians.
