Iran needs to win time (3-4 years) to master the technology of IR-9 centrifuge and build a cascade.

With IR-9 centrifuge it will be impossible to stop the Iranian nuclear program, while Iran can use the technology to build small but highly efficient enrichment facilities that will be nearly impossible to locate.

With IR-9 Iran can enrich uranium 50 times faster than with IR-1 and eventually build a nuclear bomb, while US will not be able to destroy the nuclear program.

Why Iranians should care much about currency exchange rate?

Iran is an autarky - it produces most of what it consumes domestically and all these is purchased with rial.

Iran only imports some wheat and rice and this can be imported from Russia via the Caspian Sea or from China via land routes.

The same China and Russia land routes can be used to import some spare parts for heavy industry and some raw materials.

Of course Iranian economy will not grow in current conditions, but Iran can survive the blockade by importing necessary goods via land routes and via the Caspian Sea.

Did IRGC aerospace forces nearly hit again a carrier in the Indian ocean hundreds of miles away with a Qasem Basir missile?.

What makes you think Irán cannot hit each one of these oilers passing just 20 miles away in the Straits of Hormuz?.
