I now believe Russia backstabbed Iran in Syria last year and then again in Israel-Iran war. It’s part of their deal with the West over Ukraine, probably post-war sanctions relief.

Anyway, I literally mentioned -- Gen. Munir can try convincing the Americans to just eliminate Iran's nuclear and military capability instead of going for regime change/balkanization of Iran (which Israelis want).

Iran was dumb and stupid! And they are paying the price for it now.

But if they survive - they will not repeat the same mistakes. Things will change, and Im willing to bet that the Iranians know things will have to change.

A friendly Iran could be the biggest gift to Pakistan's own survival - meet energy needs, reign in Afghanistan, strategic depth, CPEC, connect to Turkey and Europe, military support and exchange (hypersonic missiles for Pakistan, countless drones, etc).

It would be a thousand times better than a pro-zionist and hindutva Iran that destroys Pakistan in the long term.

This raises so many questions. I wonder what this means for any potential Pakistani help for Iran. Those Irani parliamentarians saying "Thank you Pakistan" will be scratching their heads when they see pictures of FMAM (Field Marshal Asim Munir) smiling with Trump while Trump is making war on Iran.
