There are plenty of bare land for Iran to operate a %5 concentration reactor for electricity.

So explain as best you can, to the best of your research ability, why would Iran need to enrich greater than %20 concentration if not for weapons grade U-235?

It's very possible they were enriching it to 60 percent just as a bargaining power in return for crippling sanctions relief.

All of this happened because Trump exited the deal in 2015. Back then it was around 3 percent of enrichment.

But why did Trump exit the deal? Because of his regime change rhetoric. It's all very obvious.

Update (15:59ET): Republican rep Thomas Massie of Kentucky has been one of the very few outspoken Congressmen on either side of the aisle to blast Trump's Iran bombing campaign, done without Congressional authorization or so much as debate or consultation.

Massie was seeking to introduce a war powers resolution in the House ahead of 'bombs away' on Iran. The conservative and libertarian-leading Congressman wants to legally prohibit American involvement in Iran.

That's Scott Ritter's argument has been: Iran should NOT try to give mixed signals about being a wanna be nuclear weapons state and also bring up the Ayatollah Fatwah at the same time. It is a schizophrenic posture, inviting the retribution especially being a signatory to the NPT.
It was one more aspect of the stupid Iranian foreign policy.

This is why it's important to make sure you work hard, build your defences, unite your people, educate them, be ready for the bully who kicks down your door. Today Israel/Usa control Iranians skies, they are not stupid, they know very well Iran cannot do jack all, they will increase their bullying and harassment, and will continue until Iran regime falls. If this was 2001, Nato would have been in Iran right now fighting on the ground, peope can laugh all they want.
