the US wanted to open a 2nd front using Mujahideen against Iran.

Yes it was known to may that US and KSA were pressuring Zia regime for create disturbance for Iran.

This was one of the reasons Iraq was also against Pakistan as Pakistan after Islamic revolution in 1979 remained not only passive towards Iran but also was not supporting Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war.

As far as stingers missiles issue. It was also reported by many that Iran managed to get stinger by Shia Mujahideen groups of Hazara Tribes of Afghanistan (read about this decades back therefore forget the name of the group) which used to get supply from Pakistan through Iran route against USSR.

That group itself was not complicit in this; actually Iran under the law enforcement operations raided the supply convey deep inside their territory.

Pakistan after this incident faced lot of pressure from USA to recover the missiles which Pakistan somehow mange to recover most of stinger missiles (not all) by pursuing Irani Regime at heights level.

Sir, I am sorry to break it to you, Iran is about to get embroiled in Civil War.

No, it's not. Not even close. lol Iranians have never been so united in the last 2 decades. I am an Iranian. People have never been this patriotic and united in a long, long time.

And the system is still completely capable of suppressing Kurds and Baloch separatists in the blink of an eye. Our air force is nonexistent for a capable country with modern weapons like Israel, but we can obliterate our enemies on the ground with it easily.

I hope this never happens. those who provided military weapons under noses of Iranian security apparatus. will be more the willing to keep Iran localized in Insurgency. its in there interest.

Yes, Iran has incurred losses and it could hav e had a better strategy, but it has incredible support and goodwill in the Islamic world. Are we frustrated with the leadership? This is weak you should not give them points for this as they were attacked but rather give them points for destroying their infras and standing against it

Alhamdulilah its over. Now Iran needs to revisit their strategy, improve its internal security, kill Mossad agents, build deeper bunkers, faster missiles and have an airforce.

They'll double down on their BM's and self destruct any remaining aircraft

Even during the most intense battles a breather is necessary. Think of it like a timeout. Both sides need a breather and time to think strategize and consider options though I can't trust someone who has a history of ceasefire betrayals but it's worth the risk. Nothing to lose just reshuffle your options until the ceasefire is in action. Keep all options open and be ready for the worst.
