But due to our shared border---thru sead and dead missions---we would have decimated their SA and SS batteries at 150 miles parallel to the border in the first phase and then 300 miles in the second phase after our initial air superiority---.
We had the enemy presented on a platter---our great Paf cowed down---.
That would be quite an opportunity !

Probably not true.
Azerbaijan simply doesn't have the army size to invade any part of Iran.
It may have an air force, but its not big enough to make much of a difference. Unless Pakistan magically transfered all 40 JF-17s (and even then), Azerbaijan is staying put in its own borders.
Its probably hyper-nationalists wanting Aliyev to take advantage of the situation, and fantasizing, nothing more.

Which makes it suck even more that Muslim Moors, Ottomans and Chinese didn't get to colonize while treating better the natives and Joint Rule American continent with the Natives in the past to prevent White people from dominating now.... Alternate History should be better for Muslim Rule......

Here’s why I don’t think we’re ever going to build a nuke unless there’s a coup.
Khamenei is 86. At that age, people usually get really set in their ways. He’s way past the point of changing his mind. Who’s going to tell him, “Hey, your fatwa was wrong, you misread Islam, and you just put the entire country at risk”? No one.
He basically has two options:
Admit he was wrong, try to build the bomb anyway, and risk going down in history as the marja who banned nukes but panicked after getting attacked, tried to make one, and maybe even failed, got defeated by the enemy and died anyway.
Or stick to his fatwa and go down as the marja who could have built the bomb and defeated the enemy but refused because it was haram, so he fought “honorably,” let the country take the hit, and died with his principles intact, like an Imam Hussein figure who chose faith over victory.
It’s pretty obvious which path he’s going to pick.

Khoramshar-4 needs to be ready now.
In future, I suspect more Next-Gen Hypersonics to be developed and deployed by Iran so that it would take only 2 minutes to cover a distance of 1800 kms, and that the entire firing time from erecting the TEL after exiting from a mountain cavern/tunnel to launching it would take only less than a minute.
