Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Tehran was not being bombed then. We will see what happens. Obviously compensation will not be given, but there are some signs that finally their strategy and thinking is changing.
I think you are too optimistic

I see no real changes and the same mistakes

if only the IRI leaders were not so fat and lazy and corrupt they could be doing so much more to unite the population and bring the educated secular youth into the fold

Interesting...
Is Larijani material for the next leader of Iran, regardless of positioned nomenclature and eventual leading body's format???

What is his popularity and respect in Iran???

No politician is popular in Iran at the moment, not even the opposition is popular anymore.

The correct question is who is the least hated at the moment?

Larijani would be a good leader, and additionally having separate councils for security & national matters makes sense as of today...

Qalibaf would be good, I don't really care if he takes his family to luxury holidays in Turkey they're all corrupt anyway

This proves nothing to be honest. It could be anywhere. How are we supposed to know it's from Iran?

Ghalibaf is OK, but he lacks the support of both the conservatives and the reformists. The conservatives betrayed him twice.

I think his status has been elevated recently, look how close he sits to Khamenei and how he spoke for IRI recently

Ali Larijani and Qalibaf are the top dogs these days

This is total BS. Every time you hear a fighter in the Sky now is from Azraeel?
Where would one single aircraft come from ? Is it supposed to be testing the AD? Where is the supposed video taken ?
A more plausible explanation would be an Iranian fighter .
Unity is key at this time . Maybe it would be best not to post from unverified sources.

I think the system has changed in unexpected ways.
Seems like Khamenei no longer calls the shots, or at least he's less of a factor than say 10 years ago.

We're now in uncharted territories and the ship has no captain, it seems.

We seriously have people here cheering for corrupt figures like Ghalibaf to hold power?
Aside from it being an obvious moral issue (just look at Ghalibaf’s personal wealth and that of his son while millions of Iranians live below the poverty line) what qualifications does this incompetent fool even have to offer a great nation like Iran?

Why is it so hard for you guys to understand that not a single IR politician is free from corruption? To even get into that 'clique' you have to be just like them. Avam faribi at its finest. Iran is never going to get out of this quagmire with the same old folks who have been feeding lies to the Iranian people for decades.

Yes the people with real military expertise the ones who actually built Iranss missile and drone power were probably not corrupt and gave their lives for Iran. But thats not the case when it comes to the political echelon.

Pezeshkian is just as bad as Raisi. Ghalibaf is just as bad as Ejei or Larijani, Zarif is just as bad as Araghchi etc. These guys are out of their minds. They are 'governing' the country based on nothing on pooch, hichi, just sitting around waiting for Imam Zaman to come and save the country (they have openly said this many times).

As someone here already pointed out the real crisis right now isnt even the nuclear issue but the water. For normal people thats far more urgent. The countrys infrastructure is collapsing most of it still dates back to the Pahlavi era and these clowns havent made a single serious effort to upgrade or fix any of it.

Do you know of any IR politician that is not corrupt?

He's a pilot, at least. He was a military general during the Iraq-Iran war. He is well-educated by IR standards. He did an excellent job as the Mayor of Tehran, he built world-class infrastructure in Tehran when he was the Mayor. He's close to the IRGC, he's been in the parliament for years, he understands the system quite well.

As much as I hope for fundamental changes, it is impossible to change the IR at the moment. We first must survive the current crisis, then think about uprooting the entire system. We have very limited choices now, but the worst of all is that I believe the fate of the IR is no longer at the hands of us Iranians.

It seems they have sidelined the supreme leader and Iran is overtaken by foreign agents
