I think the window for making nuclear weapons passed a long time ago. The most ideal time would have been the early 2000s and by 2010 we should have already had a weapon. But of course Ahmadinejad provoked the world Jewry and from 2006 onward with his 'wipe Israel off the map' comments their sights were set on Iran.

I can bet you Israel wasnt as obsessed with Iran before 2006.

And now the IR has no deterrence left. Even if they tested a nuclear weapon tomorrow and it became official that Iran was a nuclear power then what? If they actually used it it would mean complete suicide.

the MEK exposed Natanz in 2002. they fucked it up. if it wasn't for them Iran would have had nuclear weapons within a few years probably.

Ahmadinejad was a meme. He wasn't wrong but he wasn't smart either.

I really don't see why Iran should have only 20,000 drones, and why that's impossible.
Russia is producing 500 Shahed drones per day. They used 700 Shahed drones in just one day on Ukraine.
I really hoped Iran would have over 100,000 drones, but we don't. Or at least, we haven't demonstrated this capability.

They won't be able to shoot down 500-1000 drones per day. They will need to scramble each and every hour. It is humanely very difficult, if not impossible.
Just fire 50 drones every hour or so. It will exhaust them mentally and force them to carry fewer bombs for offense.

Russia can pump out hundreds of Shaheds a day because they got the industrial base, supply chains and they are already in full scale war production. Iran doesnt have that scale... not even close. IR didnt even announce that the country was in war mode. So how exactly are you going to force the entire arms industry to suddenly produce tens of thousands of Shaheds? Its impossible with Irans current situation.... no mobilization, no resources, no industrial base on that scale.

For large scale operations like that you need an intact chain of command and valuable field commanders directing day and night missions... all under the cover of layered air defenses.

That’s impossible under relentless Israeli airstrikes.

I can confidently say Russia is producing more drones than IR and right now has a larger drone stockpile.

I'm just saying that it is possible, not that Iran has such a great industrial capacity, but it is possible because other countries have done it.
Honestly, I don't see how Russia is better than Iran in this case, unless our bottleneck is the engine.
Russians are decades ahead of Iran in engine production, but they also suffer from similar shortcomings when it comes to microchips. Maybe it's easier for them to acquire them from China. I don't know.

Nevertheless, we had 10 years to mass produce Shahed-131/136. Even if we had produced 30 drones per day, after <3650 days we must have had over 100K drones!
It seems that the regime was never truly prepared for war, unlike their claims.
