One liter of gasoline is now about 2 cents in Iran. How long does the regime want to keep the price artificially low? It doesn't even cover the costs of distributing fuel to gas stations anymore.
We have now over 7 million cab drivers in Iran. If gas prices are changed, we will have new waves of riots. If they do not change it, they will go bankrupt soon. So, either way, the regime will face serious existential threats soon.

We've turned into a failed state unfortunately.

The country has plenty of money though. We have hydrocarbon reserves, minerals, precious metals, rare earth metals even. And we have a massive educated labor force.
We might be able to switch sides if Iranian-Americans can gain some influence in the US with our financial support. Our only hope would be the Iranian diaspora after a smooth transition of power.
Had we spent our money to create a powerful lobby in the US instead of militias, it would've served us much better.

Whats stopping them from taking out Khamenei himself then if IRI is that big of a problem?

You are right in saying that Iran is the boogeyman Netanyahu uses for internal politics but I dont see any actual interest Israel has in Iran except for nuclear and missile threat for which they use AIPAC controlled puppets from US to pressure Iran.

I believe our view of Israel in recent years has been largely shaped by Netanyahu and the Likud Party who are pushing for extreme right-wing policies. They have their own opposition in the Israeli society as well. I see Israel as an American/British invention in the Middle East. A safeguard for the Europeans in our region. People always talk about how Netanyahu controls the US presidents, but Israel is literally nothing without the US support. So, Israel eventually has to listen to what the US wants.
Even American Jews will not want to be taken down by international anger and hatred directed at Israel. The situation for Zionism in the US is getting worse by each passing day. Even the conservatives in the US are turning against them. They are not stupid. They see and understand the trend quite well.

If Israel wants to survive, they have to tone it down. I believe this recent move about the statehood of Palestine is exactly in that direction. It's a symbolic move, but it's the West's attempt to reduce public pressure by pretending that they're doing something for their "values".

There is no difference between Netanyahu and his ministers and previous Israeli monsters like Ariel Sharon, Menachem Begin , David Ben Gurion and their teams. Even Yitzhak Rabin and Ehud Barak were slightly conciliatory in public but just as hard and vicious behind the scenes.

Even the atrocities Israel has committed in Gaza are nothing new, if you read about their previous conduct in occupied territories or Lebanon 1980s or 1948, 1967, you will see same behavior.

The only difference this time is that Israeli atrocities have been widely broadcast on social media, straight to people's phones. That oversight is the reason you now see a heavy crackdown on social media companies esp the ones outside of Western control like Tiktok. It's why there has been such harsh censoring on social media last two years.
