Looks like Netanyahu is no longer seeking regime change.

Yet would still like a joint US-Israeli or just Israeli strike on Iran's missiles and drones.

Iran has to treat any upcoming attack as a red line, such as regime change op, in order to deter future attacks. If it shows any willingness to heavily calibrate responses and agree to 'quiet for quiet ' ceasefire , then the US and Israel will come back during summer 2026 for more.

There's not going to be limited strikes because it doesn't make sense. During 12 day war Orange man took advantage of Iran's "distraction" and took out their nuke capability which was a very limited strike with a warning of escalating would end them. When protesting/rioting (insurrection to put it bluntly) Orangeman committed by saying they would strike at regime if they open fire at the rioters... well they opened fire and Orangeman is going to stay true to his threat. Look Iran is not going to agree to demands the demands are purposely made for Iran to reject so that US can say diplomacy failed.

What happen was Orangeman was ready to strike weeks ago but the generals told him wtf are you doing we don't have the forces to launch an overwhelming strike and defend at the same time so what you're seeing right now with talks and "future talks" are delay tactics by US to be at full strength when they attack. Orangeman is not massing a cht load of military assets to middle east for a bluff we learned that lesson from Venezuela. Many thought including me that no way he strikes Venezuela military and government that this was a bluff.... Orangeman sure showed me.

Also they are likely flooding Iran with weapons for the "resistance" that is waiting for the go signal. The first 48 hours of strike will take out IADS, military and civilian communications, electrical power (electrical power will likely be a temporary off line a no structural damage) all missile bases and facilities including the caves where they store their missiles and of course leadership. US special forces will more than likely already be inside Iran hours or days before strike happens making contact with anti government forces. This will likely be a 4-5 day operation and Orangeman will declare peace after that and demand Nobel because he brought peace by stopping military operations.

I don't think it wil be a 4-5 day operation because Iran has the ability to close the Straits of Hormuz. If they have 2000 MRBMs then imagine how many thousands of SRBMs and tens of thousands of MLRS they have. Not just SRBMs, but even small MLRS system with 50-100kms range with no need for accuracy just mass salvos can be fired by local decentralized IRGC commanders to close the Hormuz Strait.

Iran is a very large country the size of many European countries, and if it's so easy to hunt down and stop 100% all missile fire from Iran they could have done so with the Houthis or even North Korea, since NK is a country with a landmass much smaller than Iran.

The US can't kill all IRGC personnel within 5 days, so even if the Leadership dies, local IRGC commanders can still retaliate back and close the Hormuz Strait and target USN ships.
