Rather, the type of weaponry used simply cannot be defended against. A US missile strike can only be absorbed and then retaliated against.

Doesn't Iran have CIWS systems that can fire 4000-5000 rounds a minute to take out enemy cruise missiles and PGMs?

For those who say Iran should have done pre emptive strikes. Pre emptive strikes on who exactly? Israel, US, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Jordan? All of them? Which country on earth has the capability to hit all these targets at once and survive?

Also shows stupidity of Iranian leadership. Israelis know that Iran will only act as reactionary. Israel is fully prepared for this time and place. Whoever plans first and executes first by launching attack first gains massive advantage in both causing the first major blow and for its own defense. They know the wounded victim will act in reaction only exactly as they were expecting.

Iran will lose a lot. The regime may survive but its ballistic missile capabilities now good bye. It will fire missiles towards israel which will be intercepted.
