It’s true. Iran’s biggest diplomatic blunder is to not rely on China. I’ve mentioned that we are in a bi-polar world, not a multipolar world. Every country needs the trust of US or China. Pakistan’s most consequential policy is to work with China. And Putin realize that only China can keep him alive. The Iranian leadership is unwise to not understand this fact.

Lets be real China was never gonna break it´s isolationist appraoch for anyone and intervene, the problem is not china or what not. Iran miscalculated it´s military stragetic calculus back in 2010s which was based on an aggressive forward policy but Iran has learned from it and will use this moment as lesson. The mideast is a very dangerous place and real estate.

China was wise enough to be on the side-line since the cold war which has benefited them.

Since the Saudi-Iranian reapproachment they have been advicing Iran to just chill out for 2-3 decades, Iran tried to chill out but it could not reverse some of it´s policies from 2010s. All the smart folks in the region know that Israel won´t be here until 2050 hence Iran´s early obsession with them was little bit strange instead of sit, observe, develope etc etc. Every war is won before it begins according to Sun Tzu himself.

I think during the 2010s some war hawks hijacked alltogether the Iranian foreign policy.

I was listening to some folks trying to talk down Egypt or Turkey etc etc. Why Doesn´t Egypt Invade Israel was question or Turkey etc etc but the answer is simple Egypt nor Turkey is ready to take on NATO bloc at this stage or timeline which is a simple fact, which means they are being smart. Same reason China has not taken Taiwan yet because they don´t feel they are ready to take on the US or NATO.

I have been a member of the old pdf forum long before you even know it existed so both of us know that between the two of us, there is only one person thats wearing diapers. Whether it was hogwash or not, atleast they showed balls back then and btw, which country besides Iran has even done that in the recent past? Forget old pdf I was part of that forum for 15 years anyways. What balls ? Israel kept hitting them, their scientists, Hamas chief , bombings than what ? Few ballistic missiles with no impact? Had indian did it at official level you would had seen proper response from us. Even in 2019 when they threw spice bombs on some random trees in a forest, you witness our retaliation very next day. For Iran, this was always coming. It's embarrassing to see that they looked so unprepared and clueless.

Scott Ritter said several months ago something like 'Iran should ride it out until the Trump Presidency ends. Swallow the bitter pill. Comply until Trump goes away. Because Israelis know many weaknesses of the Iranian state. Look at how Hezbollah was gravely damaged. Look at how Assad was toppled'.
Scott's message was to ride it out because he, being a well wisher of Iran and Palestinians, clearly saw that under a Trump Presidency, Israel would get almost whatever it would ask for. NO OTHER American President, not even Biden, the self-proclaimed 'I am the biggest Zionist in the world', had given such approval to Israel before. None since 1979. None!
But Scott was chewed out by the liberal and the pro Palestinian media. He was called 'compromised' and a 'sell out'.
It is astonishing how little people know about how the much Israel relies on the American political system and how much the very personality of an American President influences foreign policy AND how little a VP's role in countering whatever the President wants.

IRI cant "ride it out". Not when your 3 top generals got whacked, all major cities hit, attack on civillians that resulted in probably hundreds of civilians martyred, nuclear facilities, radar facilities, missile facilities hit. A war is being waged on IRI, it cant run from it. Either they'll gave a proportionate response or it'll be the end of IRI in medium to long term.
