If just one of those are shoot down all the war is over. That would mean Irán can track and shoot down 5 gen aircraft and therefore russians and Chinese also.

It does seem to suggest an IR guided platform both for initial target tracking and terminal engagement( both a guess on my part), with a small warhead, so possibility a mobile type based platform ? The F-35 did not know it was being targeted, which is significant.

Emirzad or Persian Gulf may be able to give a better indication of the type of platform that may have achieved this hit.

If Iran has knocked out a USAF F-35...

...that...itself will change the dynamics of this WAR.

A confirm kill of a F-35 will all of a sudden speak volumes of Iran's subpar AD.

(If) that F-35 has somehow - miraculously limped its way to some Base, i'll be just as impressed as it being hit.

But - if that video of its hit is real, I find it hard to believe that it made it anywhere other than 'SPLASH'.

Was this really confirmed by CNN? I've been pretty skeptical of big claims like this, it's not the first time Iran said to have hit an F35 but was later debunked.

Huge if true, would be a major development.
