Let's discuss the bolded part. What exactly is it that leads you to believe Iran hasn't been trying to develop a nuclear weapon? For what purpose(s) then does 60% enriched uranium serve then if not for an intended nuclear weapon? Perhaps a bargaining chip?

Ummm every country’s intelligence including Americas own intelligence said the Iranians basically scrapped their nuclear weapons program since early 2000 if the Iranians were hellbent on a nuclear weapon could have had one 2 decades ago.

Well regardless of their enrichment of 20 60 or whatever percent no one actually believed they actually wanted to build a weapon hell even that intelligence that the Israelis ferried out of Iran only showed what the world already knew.

Do you actually think the Iranians who weren’t hell bent on building a nuclear weapon anymore whose leader forbid it now calculating the only way to prevent another future war is to actually go forward and build a nuke I’m thinking Iran is going to go more NK than a western align nation

First of all, why do you change your font color?

Secondly, there is a huge doubt that the US can defeat any country in the world. China, for example, will cut through them like a hot knife in butter. If they struggle this much against Iran, which is hardly even a middle power, imagine what China can do to them.

Thirdly, I was always against that decision but so far they haven't been defeated. Stupid or not, it has worked so far.

To be fair, its a little difficult to go ape-sh** on a country where you are trying to limit collateral damage to innocent civilians. Russians arent exactly coming off as extremely efficient in their little war. to be fair.

You would have to have guns too, however guns are not very concealable. One Iranian citizen (a mole), could rat out anyone he sees to the IRGC. Thats instant death for the citizens. Grenades would work extremely well as a terrorrizing/demoralizing option. Who knows who has one in his pocket . IRGC could catch you with the grenade, However you can just pull the safety pin and have your finger over the striker , if he shoots you, hes dead too.

You killed 168 schoolgirls aged 7-12 on the first day of war (and you hit it twice with Tomahawk missiles) and have hit another school since then. What attempt has been done to limit collateral damage?
You regularly hit residential areas of Tehran with apartments and residential towers next to your target. Give us a break.

Russians have done much less evil than you in their 4 years of war against Ukraine, compared to your 25 days of war.

I mean if this war has demonstrated anything, it is that you can kill as many high profile people as you can, but if the system remains solid and stable after that, it was all in vain.

To be honest with you, and I am saying it purely based on facts, the US is already starting to regret many of these killings. They are now replaced by more anti-American/anti-Israel people and the US knows much less about them. In a sense, they replaced people they knew and could reach a deal with with people they don't know. How is that a good thing for them if they can't overthrow the regime in the end?

Trump throws cabinet member under the bus over Iran war: “You said, ‘Let’s do it’”​

Donald Trump on Monday appeared to set up Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to take the blame should the president characterize the Iran war as a failure.

During a roundtable on crime prevention in Memphis, the president recounted how he made the decision to launch the strikes on Iran late last month.

“I said, ‘let’s talk.’ We got a problem in the Middle East. We have a country known as Iran that , for 47 years, been just a purveyor of terror, and they’re very close to a nuclear weapon,” Trump said.

The president then explained what he viewed were the options.

“We can keep going and get that 50,000 up to 55 and 60, there’s no end,” Trump said, referring to the military’s goal to recruit 60,000 soldiers, “or we can take a stop and make a little journey into the Middle East and eliminate a big problem.”

“And I think, Pete, you were the first one to speak up,” Trump said. “And you said, ‘let’s do it.’ Because you cannot let them have a nuclear weapon.”

Trump claimed Iran came to him Sunday night asking to negotiate an end to the war, which Tehran denied earlier Monday.

The president’s remark toward Hegseth was laying the groundwork to blame the defense secretary for the unpopular Iran war, according to Trump critics and other political observers.

“Hegseth about to give his next briefing from under the bus,” tweeted “Pod Save America” co-host and former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau.

David Stockman, who has nearly 49,000 followers on X, shared a similar sentiment.


“Would you like a Greyhound bus or an 18-wheeler coming your way, Pete?!” he tweeted.

Added Matt Ford, host of “The Good Trouble”: “Well someone is getting thrown under the bus! Remember MAGA Trump says he always hires the best,” he tweeted.

I would've agreed with you prior to this war, but after this war, my assessment is that what crippled Iran wasn't the absence of Soleimani in decision making, but the fear and the so-called "strategic patience" of the late Khamenei.

All we can do at this point is wait and watch how the situation will develop.
We're waiting for Trump's 5-day pause to end. Next week will be even more interesting.
