Iran had a strategic alliance with the US to the point that the US greenlighted the sale of their top air superiority fighter (F-14) to Iran, something that they refused to do even for Israel at the time. Iran was one of the first countries to receive F-16s if the 1979 revolution hadn't happened. So, this pariah state has been by choice.

It was their own choice not to build a nuclear weapon and form military alliances, instead they chose to rely on proxy groups. Pakistan built nukes, North Korea built nukes, even Turkey and Saudi Arabia that face no existential threat are moving towards them. Ukraine has officially requested the right to possess nuclear weapons. Yet, these fuckers do not have the balls to leave the NPT yet.

Iran is being destroyed while not even one-tenth of the damage that we have suffered has been reciprocated on Israel. There's nothing to be proud of here.

You guys keep saying that as if it's something to be proud of.

It is humiliating for a proud country like Iran with incredible resources and intelligent population not to have an air force or a navy.

If we had an air force, we could've received weapons from other countries, including critical components of a nuclear device. The US and Israel have established total air dominance over Iran with fewer than 300 fighter jets, most of them are F-15s, F-16s and F-18s.

Without an air force, we will have a hard time moving our troops around, let alone defending them.

There isn't anything Iran could have done with an air force. Unfortunately, there isn't any jet out there that can compete with VLO platforms like F-22 and F-35. The F-22 F-35 could have destroyed any air force Iran had within the first hour of the conflict. Only nuclear deterrence would have prevented Iran from being attacked..surprisingly facing existential threat for the past 30 years, Iran was so indecisive with going nuclear like N. Korea and Pakistan.
