One other thing to note about shooting down a CSAR refueler/other assets is - the videos we have coming out of the region are civilians taking videos. Not the IRGC. So we see thse videos and say 'hey, there's a plane! Shoot it down it's right there!' but there's no guarantee there were soldiers anywhere near the civilians when they were filming it. And I'm fairly certain the primary method of the military detecting these aircraft would be radar systems, and radar systems are kind of a giant 'SHOOT ME PLS' beacon.

Honestly at this rate, apart from using Nukes, hard to see any form of American win, even if this goes on for 6 months....

I assume they probably were, since one of the helicopters seems to have either been shot down or at least come under attack (I think the latest information is that the refueler and one helicopter went back into Iraqi airspace by now, I saw someone posted here about debris from a second helicopter, not sure if verified), but even still, if you're limited to visual range because of MANPADs usage in an area that seems riddled with hills and mountains from the footage we've seen, your windows to locate and fire upon these assets is going to be like 30 seconds.

Iran just now claiming they have also downed a US Black Hawk UH-60 helicopter that was trying to search for the downed US pilot from yesterday

I was wondering how C130 + Helicopters conducting SAR could operate so freely in Iran. Lets see if this was indeed shot down..

Would be an epic disaster if they managed to shoot down the refueller too. Two jets, a heli and a refueller is a crazy snow ball. I hope they knock out a few more dominos and capture some of the crew alive to plaster all over TV.
