Few advantages the the US had:
1 - complete air superiority
2 - precise location of the pilot
3 - lack of enemy's ability to mobilize quickly
Knowledge of the precise location when you know that there's no Air Force left of the enemy is in itself such a huge advantage that you can search for the landing sites around the area, plan the full operation with the full knowledge of terrain with the help of advanced satellites and continuously bomb from above the surroundings to keep the enemy engaged.
Iran only had an upper hand in the missile and drone technology. My question is that why Iran didn't fire missiles when she knew there are no air defences to protect the US commandos?
