Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Yes, possible
Those planes were old near decommission, they were configured as one-way crash planes. After unloading equipment they are destroyed.
lol, no, they don't send in "one-way crash planes", you are risking the lives by doing so in the first place, except the Japanese ofc.

Stunning visuals!
When the initial euphoria dies down from this rescue, people will point fingers toward Trump's ego driven risky operation to put so many American lives at danger to rescue one airman. The guy would have been a POW and I'd hope Iranians wouldn't make a spectacle of him. Some barbed exchanges in the media, but the guy would be well fed, taken care of. Iranians are not foolish to drag him in the street to alienate the American public which is against this war.
We will not only see the media discussing the wreckage as your post but we will see many Americans questioning the risky behavior Trump keeps displaying. He apparently doesn't care for American lives as long as he himself looks 'good'.

This is as insane as “Saving Private Ryan”.

Trump admits 2nd pilot got injured (childkiller out of function):

"We have rescued the seriously wounded, and really brave, F-15 Crew Member/Officer, from deep inside the mountains of Iran.

Now that we get more information about this operation the reality seems to be nuanced

1. American did get their pilot, probably in critical condition and likely many special forces were injured and killed by basij or tribal militiamen

2. Iran did down atleast 1 c130 and the helis, I don't buy the detonation story.

3. The americans did not land on a Iranian base, seemed to be some farmers road based on geolocation

People here talking about how many us material losses happened and how its a victory for Iran. Us doesn't care about material losses. Everything they have lost theres hundreds of airframes to replace them and they can produce newer and better stuff that will be even harder to shoot down from what they learnt over here. You know what wouldve hurt them? A mass casualty rescue fiasco with multiple dead and injured, the us mightve been willing to end the war over that.

“One way crash planes”?

Really?

There’s a limit to BS!!!

Even Trump wouldn’t come up with something this smelly!!

Very likely us losses are way more then 13 anyway

There is no "mud" on the sand, look at the picture - see any mud

Looks like a huge loss for air forces over $300 - $500+ million - it is still very high to rescue one person. Come on, the clear path is to get any missing person and leave the place immediately without massive plane loss!

We never saw this in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc.

Please check old movies, you will not see massive multiple loss of aircrafts loss.

Misleading train of thoughts. Opening the SoH and destroying the energy infrastructure of GCC is the current approach of IRGC - and it does make sense.

Freedom of navigation (FoN) is the only logical and credible argument the US has against Iran on a global stage right now.

It is not a coincidence that Iran is gradually opening the strait while destroying more and more production and storage facilities on the other side of the shore.

@ShapurII is right. Freedom of navigation does not apply in Iranian or Omani territorial waters.

Indeed, the seabed and the airspace above the waterline is also part of national territory.

Iranian law is applicable in Iranian territory.

The jurisdiction of canals is similar.

Who cares about a bankrupt country with no influence.
It's not about the country, it's about disrespect. Argentina designated the IRGC a terrorist organization and declared our envoy persona non grata.

Iran has been a punching bag in diplomacy for far too long.
Countries should learn that we have red lines and when they cross them, there will be diplomatic consequences in response to their action, if we can't do more.

How do we know that didn't happen? Are we to believe the western/epstein media?
