And I'm generally skeptical of western weapons as well, and don't think they're anywhere near as good as claimed. We've seen proof of that in Ukraine where some systems worked out, but most didn't.
Also, MANPADs shooting down low flying fighters and slow moving drones aren't the same as SAMs targeting multiple incoming bandits, which even you've eluded to in this post. Ukraine saw dozens of Russian fighters shot down by MANPADs, doesn't change anything.
So my point still stands.
There is a reason why Israeli fighters went back in one piece, without a single loss.
