Then you have not been following the last quarter century of the American bombings inside Pakistan, killing Pakistani soldiers in the Salala border force (2011), sanctions on missiles program, coercing Pakistan into being India's B-team against China, Pakistan blocking NATO supplies into Afghanistan for months, bad press, including planting stories in NY Times on almost daily basis against Pakistan.
It is only when Trump II presidency came that Pakistan is getting some breathing space for reasons I don't totally understand.
Pakistan is so hopelessly lost to China that Americans have now given up on Pakistan and decided to let Pakistan be.

Begging is a strong word.
But the fact that both the Press Secretary and Trump said that the ‘Dynamic Useless Duo’ of Jared and Steve are going to Pakistan as soon as they found out the FM is headed on a diplomatic tour, is a bit desperate.
Trump did his blockade to look like he was just like the Iranians. And now claims he is the one blockading the strait not Iran.
But in the end there is no strategy to this stand off. 11-13m barrels per day remains offline. LnG, fertilizer, etc are also stuck. Energy crisis continues to build. Brent is back above $105
Trump thinks he can wait out the Iranians and the Iranians think they can wait out Trump. So either war resumes or one side blinks first
