BTW, where is that downed pilot who was rescued during the Isfahan operation? I thought he was a little injured but overall fine? I have not noticed videos of him describing his escape and rescue. We know way back in the 90s when an American pilot fell behind enemy lines (Serbia?) he was recovered and became a hero in the media.

It's very strange. But we do know that Americans don't like to see wounded soldiers once they return home. Perhaps this person lost a limb or something?

There is a total media silence. That's very strange. At least some news about the guy recovering. I mean it was a really big event and lots of news about the rescue itself.
Or maybe I have not followed the news enough.

What kind of logic is that? We don’t need America, but we need their weapons? Lol.

By "We don't need America". He meant don't need american bases.

Over 100 countries world wide buy weapons from US. It do not mean these all countries follow / support american foreign policy like jumping into the wars or support it. But lot less number of countries offer military foothold / bases in their country. The ones with US military bases are more strictly aligned with US foreign policy.

So generally speaking, not w.r.t to any specific country, a normal country can buy american weapons and don't need american military presence Or in other words (don't need America itself to protect them). If america denies its weapon sales then a country can buy from elsewhere too. So in essence whatever that person wrote makes sense.

True in the long run. But right now prices went high for the shock exit. The shock to global markets about uncertainty of OPEC.
It’s simply because the market is pricing in a higher risk that the Strait of Hormoz will remain closed for longer than expected

What makes you think Iran accepting or not accepting the ceasefire had any bearing on the Americans blocking the traffic from/into the Strait? Iran has accepted the ceasefire because Iran, too, needed the ceasefire.
Saw an interview of 'The Economist' Ed in Chief a couple of days ago. She called the Iranian diplomacy 'brilliant'.
Give some credit to your country.
Bhai tbvh and it’s not a stretch to say this now k Iran has totally won this.

Iran has all the cards now and basically it is casting its shadow on the defeated and beleaguered GCC.

Losing 4000 people and $270 billion was totally worth it and now both the US and Israel have been exposed as militarily incapable of defeating Iran.

I bet the IRGC sardars are laughing in secret.

Market is finally starting to price oil correctly. Billions of barrels of oil shortage was temporarily covered up with release of strategic reserves. The longer this drags on the more traders will realize how many months it will take to go back to pre-war status.

This explain India silence after death of Khameni.

Israel must have offered them Chabahar port post regime change.

Much more than just a port...
It is or rather was the remaking of the region. India was isolating Pakistan, projecting a greater India... parallel corridors, security arrangements.

A complete reversal is happening instead not only zion and India but cheeto has isolated the US. That process of isolating peoples, states and regions is among core colonial hegemonic policies. Zion had isolated the region in tiers... controlling their access, in allies, trade and weapons... to Palestinians and than further down to individual groups... physical barriers in shape of walls... access to healthcare, family, movement and economic well being.

US did the same for Iran as a nation... leveraging dollar to halt prosperity of a whole civilization... while sabotaging and killing people with key skills.

Which is why losing access to gulf is a strategic defeat of the empire... the clown can do nothing but blockade the blockade. While India still plays the role of Trojan in BRICS... Emirates stands exposed.
