I never said the money was put to good use...I'm just saying don't expect the US to fight like Russia where they probably lose more men in a week in Ukraine than we did in the 8 months in Iraq it took to find/capture Saddam.

Otherwise the theater of operations would have expanded far deeper into Pakistan.

You can have the most advanced types of weapons but if your soldiers do not have food to eat after three days, life becomes something else.

Saddam didn't have hundreds and hundreds or possibly 1000 nukes with reliable delivery mechanisms with various city ending capacities as well as stockpiles of chemical and biologal weapons to end life. If things come to that, the population of this planet would be reduced by at least 1.25 Billion on the eastern side of Pakistan and by about 40 to 100 million looking westward. Europe's atmosphere would also change permanently and many capitals of the world will disappear from reality. So that outcome is not desired by many, despite their mythological beliefs in some messiah who can be forced to reveal himself, they will not risk such a suicidal mission.

North Korea has just a few, 12 to 35, nukes, and everyone had decided to leave them alone. NK will eventually become a Vietnam because they have no political instability.

I think after Salalah attack, supply route from Pakistan to Afghanistan were closed for almost a year if I’m not mistaken
