The supplies became expensive and usually the first thing to get cut is the quality of the food stuffs. Had Pakistan permanently closed the route, the war would have become more expensive and the NATO supplies would be going through Russian influenced lands.

A little offtopic but... when the Pakistanis stopped the NATO supplies over the Salalah incident for months, the Americans, with the Russian consent, started the alternate long and expensive resupply route through the Russian sphere of influence. And after the Americans left Afghanistan in August 2021, six months later the Russia-Ukraine war started, which has caused huge casualties to the Russians, no small thanks to the Americans.
Russians are such strategic thinkers. NOT! People talks about the supine Arab regimes. At least some excuses could be made for the Arab countries. But look at the ultimate cuck nation with the largest number of nukes in the world: Russia. Clinging to the hope to be accepted by the West since Peter the Great but keep getting rejected and keep getting killed in wars after wars launched on them.

At least in case of the Vietnam War, there was the staged Gulf of Tonkien. And in many other wars--wars on communism and wars on terror--there were attempts to rally the American support and even try to get some support in the UN.
But this war on Iran is launched without hardly making a 'case' for it. No 'manufacturing consent' this time. And that shows how dangerous and arrogant Donald Trump is. He is acting like Netanyahu acts in Gaza, in the West Bank, and in Lebanon, and now also Netanyahu acts like that in Syria.

The American people hated the Vietnam war because of the draft. They will hate the war against Iran once oil hits $12 and the workers start burning down warehouses.

The only way to end this war and for peace to prevail is for Iran to test a nuke. Otherwise none of this makes sense. Iran is being threatened by a nuclear Super Power with an unmatched military power but somehwow is not concerned about its cities being turned into radioactive wastelands.

Something is missing in the picture. The whole thing is not making sense.

Let me put it straight for you:
Taliban were harboured in Pakistan giving them much needed breathing space to survive.
Now since Iran is under naval blockade, opening land trade routes gives them breathing space and that's a ridiculous thing to do.

North Korea has just a few, 12 to 35, nukes, and everyone had decided to leave them alone. NK will eventually become a Vietnam because they have no political instability.

Incorrect - actually I remember that land border was completely closed for 6 months (November 2011 til July 2012) AND yes we closed its airspace to NATO/US + their Shamsi airfield base.

US apologized it after 6 months and regretted it.

No, I'm sorry but that's just cope. You had one military that was pounding our soldiers and our top command was literally on the hot line begging Americans to stop. And our response was to close the borders - if you find that an acceptable response then I don't know what to say.

And no, they didn't need to repeat again, they humiliated us enough and continued to do so by using our OWN bases against our OWN citizens every single day, whilst we sat down and watched. This is utterly pathetic and shameful past of our nation. If you want to know what an appropriate response is, look next door at Iranians. That's what you call having self respect.
