What or who gave Iran authority to attack ships passing through Oman ? People complain about America and it's illegal war but what Iran is doing is justified?

Iran offered Oman to jointly hold the Strait, but has made it clear that it won't allow the section close to Oman to be used as a corridor to bypass Iranian restrictions. Iran would be absolutely braindead to do anything else.

This is the most absurd logic i've heard. So Iran is acting like America and forcing their will on Oman how they can use their waterways ?
