Regardless of what happened there, something is unforgivable and that's Iran's predictability when it comes to war planning.
Iran started to launch its "revenge" for the assassination of Gen. Soleimani exactly 7 days after the assassination on the same hour that the assassination had happened. This sort of predictability is unforgivably moronic.

This is a slow burn coup d'etat. They threw away a clear win, faced no repercussion, and now are removing people that opposed the MOU after it has become clear what a disaster it is.
Khamenei is standing idle and allowing all this to happen. He reinstated the useless head of judiciary whose job it is to put these people in jail. There is no sign of change.
At this rate the attrition of the armed forces and destruction of Iran will continue and these people will make sure of it.

Iran can hit US ships. 100%. That would mean all out war with gloves coming off against a super power.
Iran is playing it smartly. Keep hitting the US bases in the region in minion Gulf states. This is more than enough to rile the entire Zionist gang. Keep targeting Gulf infrastructure and oil rigs. The impact this has far exceeds hitting US ships.

I am just curious why Iran has not tried to attack USN with USV. I am pretty sure these underwater vehicles are not that easy to detect and can be destructive enough to force them back.

Iranians have fought gallantly. They did win the battle, but the war isn't over yet. US has inflict heaviest damage to Iranian infrastructure, but he hasn't been able to beat their resolve. Iran has redefined the warfare with the smart use of electronic warfare.... missiles and drones. Additionally they Chinese Baidu Consulation provided them with vital information in searching and hitting the targets. Russian also give them the help that they could.
This is third round, by all matrices US would have come well prepared and well planned. Right now they are busy softening the target by heavy bombardment. To achive this objrctive they are using cutting edge technologies
But that's the best that they are likely to achieve. We have seen that, neither in Iraq nor in Afghanistan this has given them an edge over their opponents.
