My assessment is,
Operation midnight hammer was a training run.
It demonstrated that they can indeed accurately bomb a mountain with "bunker busters". We saw good grouping at the impact sites and meticulous planning.
Now....whether or not they were effective nobody will truly know. The Americans and some analysts are confident they took the sites out, the Iranians are somewhat silent, and there are also other western analysts who doubt the strikes were successful.
There is an analyst who has estimated over 100,000 cubic meters of destroyed granite rock following the strike on Fardow:
Truly, we will never see the aftermath. What us clear however is that they are not deterred....they have no stopped talking about Iranian nuclear threat and have started discussing their missiles.
The main problem Israel faced was retaliation causing unacceptable losses to both infrastructure and human life. I believe Iran did a tremendous amount of damage most of which remains hidden....
Israel CANNOT fight Iran alone without sustaining considerable damage. The Americans are in too deep with current trajectory to go back. They've picked their route...more belligerence.
They'll probably double team, the Americans constantly bomb missile launch sites ensuring Israel has some breathing space to take out whatever it desires.
Unfortunately, the scenario above is not a fantasy. Its very much doable.....let's see what happens.
