If he can score points with his base by saying, "look I bombed them and they still made a deal with me, that's how strong I am," then he will take that opportunity. • Ripped up the nuclear deal that was keeping this government alive
• Got the whole world to go along with new sanctions (minus some oil buying by China)
• Drove Iranian oil production down to as low as 200,000 barrels a day
• Successfully bombed Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan
• Driven Iran to the brink of government collapse for the first time in 40 years

He did all this without a single American boot on the ground and without world economic collapse happening from Iranian retaliation on energy prices.

This man did what no one thought was possible and what Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, and Carter didn’t have the balls to do.

The Iranian military has turned out to be a paper Tiger outside of the mouse force. They cannot defend the skies of Iran worth a damn. Their missiles alone aren’t enough to turn the tide of any major war and could be exhausted very quickly if a war carries on too long.

Hezbollah is getting bombed as we speak and is still re-organizing itself. Hamas is decimated. Houthis are an ocean away and we cannot re supply them if we are at war.

Iran neither has the capital markets nor the required technology to revitalize its oil sector to even reached 1970’s levels. If it could it would have done it in the last two decades.

Iran’s oil minister has said we need 250B dollars to stay competitive and keep up with the rest of OPEC members. Just look at how much Saudi Arabia has spent the last 15 years.

Without Chinese or American capital, Iran is screwed.

This is not even getting into the natural gas projects or the LNG projects. Most of the natural gas we have is being sucked up by Qatar as Iran keeps falling behind on building off shore rigs in the Pars field. Most of Iran’s current natural gas is consumed at rock bottom subsidized prices by its own population.

Iran isn’t top 15 natural gas exporter despite being top 7 natural gas producer.

I dont recall anybody ever claiming that Iran can itself modernize the hydrocarbon sector. Ayatollahs wasted 500 Billion USD on useless Arab militias to fight Jews.

My belief :
- during the 12 days war, Iran retaliated and trump boasted big intervention in order to stop the war, but ultimately this proved somehow to be a play (yes iran got damaged of course)
- now I don't know if the rioters are still in high activity, but it seems Kurdish terrorists and jaish ul adl attacks failed, maybe, maybe, maybe, this option is also proving to be a failure and then they want to pressure iran to avoid retaliation against IL.
