Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

... So it is Iran's job to prove him wrong and enforce peace via overwhelming force to show him what Iran is capable of and how they won't like it when Iran gets really......MAD!
Well, Iraq got made and threw everything at it. So did Libya and so did Syria.

All three nations are no longer proper functioning nation states. Millions of their people have become refugees looking for refuge from East to West, wherever they can find any.

It's a sorry way to go in modern history.

Iran is a nation of 93 million people. We can't expect the same for such a large, proud and ancient civilisation. It's no fault of the ordinary citizens, most of who probably don't know or care about international politics.

The best approach for Iran would be for some of the firebrands in the leadership to resign.

I do think he will attack, as early as today/tonight(UK time) after NYK trading close.

100% scale of attack cannot be determined, but, given the shake down in markets, something gotta give off now! pressure is building fast..

The whole build up against Iran is on the wishes of Israel. Otherwise, Iran pose zero security risk or challenges for the United States. US should have no problem with Iran ...
You need to consider Zion as a large US military base in Western Asia instead of it being some Middle Eastern country.

Any attack on this military base is an attack on the US. It's that simple.

Usually, the military base can take care of things on its own, but when it can't, reinforcements arrive from the homeland.

Can you remember
This is the aspect that many people are either ignoring or simply do not realize. It doesn't necessarily need to be American boots present on the ground.

The US is planning to deploy PKK terrorists from Syria and Iraq to Iran, effectively transforming the nearby KRG/Northern Iraq into a sanctuary for these terrorists. Equipping them, training them, supplying intelligence, and bolstering their presence in KRG while continuously moving them in and out of Iraq to assassinate, attack, and displace Iranian security forces from NW Iran.

Unfortunately, the border between Iraq and Iran is quite porous, which has been somewhat advantageous for Iran for the past couple decades.

The IRI leadership has overlooked border security for strategic purposes, which I believe was a significant mistake. A semi-permeable border strategy would have been much more sensible and aligned with Iran's true interests.

Containing such a rebellion in the Zagros Mountains is incredibly challenging, expensive, and bloody -not only for Iran but for any country. It encompasses a vast area and serves as a potential leverage point to exert pressure on Iran's leadership whenever the US find it necessary.

I'm convinced that behind closed doors Washington is counting much more on PKK/PJAK than on a popular uprising after an initial attack on Iran.
In theory you are right, in reality those kurdish militants would be crashed and engaged by iraqi shia militas first.
Iran has more than enough foot soldiers for that kind of threats.

That is a statement that is impossible for me to comment upon, since it is only hypothetical at this point, and I have no idea whether his posture would be any different than the current one.
That is like me saying that things would be more peaceful with Iran if Mike Johnson becomes the President. How does one say anything to that?

Except Mike Johnson or Mike Tyson are not President Trump! I am speaking based on evidence and trends--not hypothesis. And hopefully time will prove me right and I hope that time comes before three years because by then it maybe too late.

It is better to understand not only the 'game' but also the 'players'. So it is pertinent to note that the personalities of guys like Trump and Biden have driven 'America' to make decisions which are not good for America's own regional interests--they are Israeli-firsters, not America First. But too much credit has been given to the 'institutionalized' thinking, to the vaunted 'checks and balances'. I don't believe so: Had it been, then the years of yard work by President Obama on JCPOA would not have been thrown away by an Israel-firster like Trump.

The termites inside America are eating it from inside and the world must know that. And this thread, IMO, benefits from understanding how the personal biases of POTUS are driving America's current policies in the Middle East and especially about Iran.

First rule of war is to never start a war you cannot win. The second rule is to never underestimate your enemy and should be considered as part of the 1st rule.
Buuut...its also "better to fight and die than to just die".

Iran has no good options and is facing an existential crisis(less Iran, and more of its Islamic republic system of govt)

the Kurds are in the north and Iraqi Shia are in the south. There aren't big chances the Iraqi Shia militias will be allowed to move north via the Iraqi Sunni territory to deal with any anti Iran Kurdish militants, even if Nouri Maliki is PM. There remains too much bad blood and suspicion between Iraqi communities.

Please do share any evidence of what JD's policies might be with regards to Iran.

As a VP candidate for 2024, he was clearly against military action against Iran. And to contrast him President Trump, Mr. Trump, in his first term, gave away a lot to Israel during even 'peace' time, breaking policies of the previous five decades of both the Republican and the Democratic Presidents. Trump's actions in his first term clearly pointed to a pro Israel bias unprecedented in American history.
As to what a POTUS Vance will do should Trump have a heart attack today and dies: I am certain a POTUS Vance will not do what Trump is doing against Iran! But, of course, only time will tell. You can bookmark this post if you want to. None of us can predict the future but I am, based on the evidence seen since Trump I and based on his cadre, have come to my conclusions.

I'm putting some coins on Iran against the US, not an Iranian win, but more damage done against US than damage done to Israel in the war

Against Israel there were doubts because of the accuracy of the MRBMs and their limited numbers

The SRBM can hurt the US much more efficiently than MRBMs against Israel 2000km away and are much more easier and faster to deploy
