But the video footage you shared is not from Tehran.

Again, that's your version of the story. There is no evidence that armed rioters took over in cities like Tehran. Feel free to provide some evidence, but protests in the majority of neighborhoods in Tehran were completely peaceful and limited to chanting slogans and still, they were brutally oppressed and fired at.

We went from peaceful Mahsa Amini protests by a bunch of teenagers to this in a span of 3 years. Great security achievement. Seriously. When protests become violent, it will spiral out of control very fast. Particularly in a country like Iran with no proper border control and thousands of kilometers of land and maritime borders with countries that are controlled by the US and Israel.

Also, remember that next times in a not too distant future, cutting the internet will no longer work as more and more smart phones are supporting satellite internet.

If Iran's missiles were ineffective and "not accurate " (accuracy matters, but deadliness matters way more)as a few active posters said during and after the operation True promise 2, then why the he'll would US assemble a large partof its military arsenal against Iran, to take put its ballistic missiles ,which it is unprepared to handle the fall out of a potential war with US?

My only conclusion is that Iran's missiles performed so well in the last exchanges Iran had with Israel, that US and israel are willing to risk losing a war with Iran in front of the world, just to try to neutralize the power of Iran's missiles.
This is confirmation that Iran's proof of concept related to its military doctrine heavily relying on missiles is valid and deadly for its enemies. The know-how cant be removed and neither can all the locations of missiles in Iran be destroyed. Us didnt even find all of saddams Scuds in the initial phase of the Iraq war,and saddam had a crude arsenal of missiles and a much smaller country to hide them than Iran.

Until now the government acted quite soft against violent rioters. Burning down buildings or trying to overrun military/police forces, throwing molotov cocktails, bricks, shooting towards security forces, chanting against the leader/state should be answered by Iron fist.

Iranian should understand difference between peaceful demonstrations and terrorism/killing policeman/Burning public properties, tax offices, mosques, libraries etc.

This is a deep cultural problem. We dont like rules and become violent because we cant control our emotions and start to act irrational.

Reforming our culture through education, upbringing, media, backed up by the Iron fist of the state security apparatus, in case that red lines get crossed, is a must.

Our schools were closed for 3 weeks. Some children didn't go to school for nearly a month. Universities have been closed too. Some of our students did not even take their final exams. This isn't normal, is it?

The situation in Iran is far from normal. It strongly resembles the last days of the last Pahlavi before the 1979 revolution. Again, I am constantly reminded of the cliche that says dictatorships do not believe the signs of the forthcoming fall until the last minute before it's over.

The only reason I am participating in discussions like this is out of respect for people like you and @Persian Gulf, whom I believe want the best for Iran, hoping that it would make you guys think about the situation from a different perspective. Other than that, the situation is crystal clear for any observer inside or outside Iran.

Iran needs major reforms, not just half-assed measures like allowing teenage girls not to wear the headscarf. People want major reforms. The list is too long, but I am sure you can think of many things that have to be changed on your own.

You are in no position to answer anything with the iron fist. First of all, Iran belongs to Iranians, not Ayatollahs. Secondly, I am not sure if you understand this or not, but the regime in Iran is despicable by all standards. No country in the world wants to be associated with the regime in Iran. Not even pro-Palestine people, not even Russia, nor China. The regime in Iran has no true friends. Your only friends are rag-tag militias that have been receiving money from us but have proven to be useless in time of need. In other words, they are leeches, not true friends.

People inside Iran were the last remaining stronghold of this regime that made war-mongers like the rightwing in the US unwilling to take on Iran. Without the support of Iranians, the days of this system are numbered. This is why Trump has become 10x more aggressive since 4 weeks ago.

It is not the first time security forces kills civilians. They killed a lot of civilians during the green movement. None of these were armed. But it is different now with social media being everywhere.

You cant indiscriminately kill thousands of civilians just because there are armed terrorists hiding amongst them.

This just makes me wonder why trump risked war(like now)by pulling US out of the JCPOA only to end up at the same jcpoa agreement with Iran informally ?
