They just occupied Hong Kong and had some financial settlement in Shanghai unlike Iran that pretty much the whole country was occupied by the British for a period of time. The US never intended to take on Iran in one go because it was too costly and deadly for their forces in the region. Just like they didn't take on Iraq in one go. China is just silently watching the Iranians die. If Iran really wants China's help, it's simple: provide a good naval port for building an aircraft carrier base. I don't think there is a deep state in iran killing conservatives...it just so happens that the people in power happen to be conservatives, and they're being assassinated.
