Israel hit Iran with much more fire power than Gaza. We were dragged into that war purely because of Palestine. Do you think Palestinians appreciated it? Many Arabs, including Palestinians, were celebrating the war of Israel on Iran and are celebrating now that the US is coming for us.

We are not in a war over our own national interests. If anything, the existence of Israel serves our national interests because it keeps Arabs, our real enemies, busy.
We are in a war over something that absolutely does NOT concern us: Israel-Palestine conflict.

Once Iranians get rid of this regime, we will normalize our relations with both the US and Israel just like Turkey, Republic of Azerbaijan, the Emirates, Bahrain, and many other countries in the region and the world have done.

Now 90%+ of those Muslims are sunni, but the remaining 10% or so are Shia which amount to atleast 200 million people

So you are saying all Shia Muslims should unite and go protect their heritage and holy sites in Iran and slaughter their enemy who is coming to attack them and their families and holy sites

Well, if you think you understand the Iranian society better than an Iranian, then it's your right to think so. But you seemed curious and I shared with you why these things are happening in Iran.

The system hasn't collapsed yet because Iranians hoped that the Islamic Republic would change slowly over time. The Islamic Republic created a bi-partisan system where reformists were supposed to provide an alternative to the current policies. Yet, the reformists turned out to follow exactly similar policies, only leaning towards Europe.

The reformists lean towards Europe and the US, the conservatives lean towards Russia and China. Both of them have exactly the same core policies that the people do not want.

Now after 4 decades, people are completely fed up with the situation and the new generation is even more anti-regime than ever.
