If they are really against it, they would have ousted them from their countries and none of this would have happened

Iran has to send a message in the next 12 hours. Without continued major response that inflicts verifiable damage on US/Israel, it will swing momentum towards the enemy.

Give them some break guys .. with 30 years of santions, they are literally one nation fighting 11 sold out neighbours, a global power and a local nu lear power while defending themselves. They are doing far more every minute compared to what any country that has ever faced the US alone, has ever managed in last 50 years.

Some of the miIlitary top brass getting killed was inevitable. May the fallen ones rest in peace.

But we should not become too fixated on specific people and be all doom and gloom. The US/Zios may and probably have successfully taken out high ranking commanders.

The real question is if that has hampered Irans command and control. As of yet, it has not.
Iran has replacements and contigency plans.

You know, this is an interesting topic for debate and discussion.
I respect the commanders, they have put their lives on the risk for the sake of the nation. Many of them have invaluable experiences, as they grew and moved up through the ranks in the Iraq war. The collective military leadership of the IRGC holds great value and experience. Just like Qassem Soleimani was a national treasure.
That being said, we have to keep things in some sort of perspective. While they are a treasure to Iran, they are not immortal beings. Had they not died in the battlefield today, they would have done so by old age 10-20 years from now.

I dont want to be disrespectful to any of them. God bless their souls for their sacrifices. But case can be made that some of them, having experienced the horrifics of war, were overly and too cautious for Irans own good. Which could explain some of the policies (like strategic patience nonsense), which ended up biting Iran hard. But not everything was wrong. They did invest heavily in education of scientists and from that developing an indigineous military industry.
Now war is again forced upon Iran. Through this experience, a new generation of commanders will rise.
Because unlike the former Baath arab nations Iraq and Syria, Iran is NOT a "regime". Iran does not disappear with assassination of some military commanders/officials.
Iran is a civilaztional state, with social and structural roots that go deep.

The only reason I can think of is Iranian leadership still think , however slim but still there is a chance they can talk their way out of this with Trump but drowning US ships and killing US sailors en masse would close that as well.
