There is a reason why no aircraft carrier has been sunk (or even hit) since WW2.

That's because the US or any country with aircraft carriers have n't faced an opponent that had the ability to sink aircraft carriers. In war "never" is always a possibility; who would have thought that 6 Rafales could have been shot down by PAF?

There is no power on earth that can sink an American aircraft carrier. You have no idea about the offensive and defensive firepower that a carrier battle group has - more than the naval and aerial power of most other nations.
