China is a behemoth, and Iranian oil is a minisule percentage of its energy supplies, as well as its costs.

Hoping for others to intervene to help Iran at this stage is not wise, IMO. All countries are probably already figuring out what a post-war scenario would look like, to position themselves better for it.
