Capital Stock is a cost of all houses, roads, railways, factories etc. in a country.
Iran's capital stock is 8,8trln dollars, while Israel's capital stock is 1,4trln dollars.
This means that a building destroyed in Israel is more of a pain to 7mln Israeli Jews than a building destroyed in Iran for 92mln Iranians.
For 1 Israeli killed by Iran, small Israel must kill 13 Iranians to inflict proportionate pain to the nation. And for every building Iran destroys in Israel, Jews must destroy 6 buildings in Iran to inflict a proportionate damage to the country.
If we compare two nations with different populations and capital stock, then during the 12 Day War Iran inflicted more damage to small Israel than Israel did to large Iran (in relative terms).
Regarding US bombing Iran in Iraq1991 style bombing campaign - the damage they will inflict on Iran's infrastructure will be much much smaller in absolute terms to damage Iran will inflict on US (3,5trln$ lost in opportunity costs within 4 years and 4trln$ (13% of US GDP) added to the Federal Debt) if Iran mines the Strait of Hormuz and destroys regional oil infrastructure. Damage to Europe will be even larger.
Also note that economic toll for Israel of the Gaza War alone is 112bln$ or equivalent of 20% of Israel's GDP.
So both Israel and US have more to lose from war than Iran (in relative and absolute terms).
