They will definitely be utilized. Make no mistake about it. There’s no escaping this reality. The US government has put a gun to their head. The PKK has been expelled from Syria, has been militarily defeated in Turkey, and has had to give up their entire infrastructure and network in Northern Iraq near the Turkish border. They are completely exposed at this moment. Butt naked. Just three years ago, some of them were dreaming of a Kurdish state with a coastline along the Mediterranean Sea.

In 2026, they have no option left other than to fight. The question remains whether they will receive air support and coverage from the US military.

The Americans have to involve the PKK. They are their main figurine - not the official parties in KGB and not even the Iranian Kurdish parties.

The PKK has historically excelled in one area: uniting various factions, coalitions, and parties under a single umbrella. They achieve this either through the use of brutal force or by persuading them ideologically.

They are the most crucial component in this entire scenario. If you observe closely, they are employing the same tactics in Iran that enabled them to establish their presence on the ground in Syria. The Kurdish parties in Iran have now convened at a table, similar to the Syrian YPG/SDF. However, just as the SDF was a front actually controlled by the PKK, these Iranian parties are likely to vanish soon as well.

Iran exerts some influence over these parties, and the history of Iranian Kurds has significant differences from that of Turkish-Kurdish or Arab-Kurdish histories. Nevertheless, it is now 2026, the US is involved, the PKK is free to engage, and the Iranian state has been weak for decades, creating opportunities for maneuvering.

I wouldn't worry about the Kurds. Iran should just continue using drones, BMs and LACMs to pound their positions and also bomb US Bases inside Iraq.

I think Iran should bomb the US Embassy there in Iraq too as the embassy there could be used as a front to channel funds to the Kurds. Ask the Iraqi Government to expel all Americans from the country too if they don't want Iranian missiles and drones raining on those bases.

I predict that if Iran is serious to foil USA's diabolical plan to use the Kurds for invading Iran, then within another 1 week intense Iranian and Iraqi Resistance bombardment of American bases and assets inside Iraq will force the American military to fly away from the country for good, never ever to return.

Well, unfortunately, KSA has no well defined defence policy. Now, all GCC countries realize that all these foreign bases for ages have been to defend Israel. They are countering the Iranian missiles launched toward Israel. Same bases were used against Iran in 12 day war, but they have been avoided, and now they are counter as enemy post.

Not only are the Arab countries actively defending Israel by countering missiles, etc, they are spending billions of dollars in defending Israel through equipment and ammunition expenditure and additional 10's of billions of economic activity is being lost aswell, much of it that may never return, to help defend Israel.

The weapons they are using up, means that these very same Arab countries are noe also becoming "weaker against" Israel as Israel will get their ammunition stocks replenished quickly and these Arab countries will have to pay alot more and spend years filling up their stocks again.

You can't really make up the madness of these GCC Arab countries. It is insane!!!

One does not have any sympathy for them ...

Neither Israel or Iran signed the cluster munitions treaty and Israel used cluster munitions in Gaza as well - so it is a mute point ....

This is an irrelevant point.

'Cluster' ammunition refers to small bomblets that a standard aircraft uses, normally from a dumb bomb, to expand the kill radius. These are small bomblets perhaps a few pounds in weight or less. They are considered undesirable because some don't detonate and effectively become mines for civilians even years later.

The 'Cluster' in these missiles are large bombs for significant targets. Even those that don't detonate, because they are clearly visible, will be dealt with by bomb disposal.
